I had an awful experience horrible customer service no manners and extremely disrespectful. I went in after a long day of work on the phone (with my mom who was was watching my sick toddler) to check in and let her know I was on my way! I'm standing at the counter waiting to be helped patiently as two employees chat in the corner. I am in a rush to grab my daughter feeling awful because she's sick and wants her momma, and no one will help me. Finally I said hi because I thought they didn't realize I was waiting. They continued to ignore me... the business owner comes around the corner and asks the two employees what's wrong with them! The older kid says he won't help anyone while they are on the phone because it's rude! It is rude, but I am checking on my little human not chatting with my girlfriends about nonsense! They didn't bother to suggest getting off the phone didn't bother to help me because I am a paying customer nothing. The guy just sat there flipping a baseball bat ignoring me! They don't know what my reasoning is for being on the phone or me as a person and they didn't care! All they cared about was the fact that I was on the phone! I am usually the first person to apologize for being on the phone but I didn't get a chance! I said something along the lines of "I'm checking on my daughter after a long day of work and your in turn going to be rude in a place of business to me as a paying customer?" Yes at that point I have an attitude back after receiving one! I was there getting my husband a pack of smokes and the young kid handed me the wrong ones, in frustration I rudely said "I said regulars please!" The please was in an effort to take back my attitude towards the kid because he just seem extremely uncomfortable with the entire situation! I was then asked to leave by the business owner! Did I mention that she was yelling at me for being rude (because I was on the phone)! I asked her if she was the manager and she said she was the owner! A phone call really???? I wasn't even talking and no one was helping me! They have no idea what my next move was! What if I put it down as someone came to help! They didn't bother to find out! This is supposed to be a family orientated hardware store I've gone there a few times I live in Braintree convenient for me but it seems every time I've been there the cashiers and some of the help a very stuffy snooty and can take your business or leave it. I find them very presumptuous in that regard . Not to mention that their prices are very high... This place is unusual in that one half is a convenience store and the other half is a hardware and decorating/paint store--I've never seen such a combination anywhere else, but it's working great, and it's always good to support a local business. I had occasion to go here a few times recently; I've only ever been on the hardware/paint side, and I needed both supplies and some advice--and I got everything I needed, from helpful, friendly people.
