Great new taco spot in town! We went in on a thursday night maybe a week or so after they opened. Food was good--we tried the chips and guac but you can probably skip that as the amount of guacamole you get for over $5 is atrocious (see photo)! Other than that everything is reasonably priced we thought. I got the chicken tinga burrito bowl and it was delicious, will say i wish it was layered as opposed to dished in sections. You have to mix it all up if you want to get everything in one bite. My boyfriend tried 3 of their tacos and though the meat was very flavorful but did feel like their was way more cheese to meat ratio than he was expecting, borderline quesadilla cheesy. We will definitely be back to try other options on the menu as they have so many! But it will be take out for sure. There are only a few tables and then bar stool seating along the wall, we also felt like we smelled like the place after eating and hanging out there for 30 min since it was so small. Our biggest complaint was honestly the service was kind of lacking? Especially for a brand new opening, we weren't greeted upon entering and when we were squinting at the menu overhead along with a different couple no one offered up any suggestions on the most popular items (they must have them if this is their 3d location) or if we had any questions, they just talked amongst themselves. There was also no thank you/come again...
Read moreI don't like leaving bad reviews on restaurants. The industry is hard and people can be petty. I ordered through a delivery app, but I didn't want a review to poorly impact the driver. I thought I had been ordering from a good place based on the pictures of the tacos and past reviews. I haven't had anything else on their menu but I was very disappointed by the flautas I ordered. I understand there can be regional differences in dishes, but I believe this was beyond that. Flour tortillas instead of corn with the fillings just rolled into them. Not even grilled or fried. Cheese and sour cream cost $3 extra. The fillings were so incredibly dry and bland. With the dry flour tortillas it was hard to eat without a lot of water. The black beans as a side were bland and unseasoned while the rice was overly salty. I give the food 2 stars because surprisingly their pico slapped. Good ratios, fresh tomatoes and cilantro, and red onions. I had been hoping for a taste of home, but I need to seriously change my expectations for Mexican food in...
Read moreMy kids and I came for lunch and we all loved it! They brought the food out fast, which was nice. One combo kid's chicken quesadilla with rice and beans fed all 3 of my kids (under 8yo) with leftovers. My pickiest loved the rice and beans, always a plus! I got the Birria tacos which were great and we all loved the sauce that came with it. I'd definitely recommend the Elotes (street corn). The tables have plenty of napkins, which you'll need. They also have highchairs (with working buckles which you might be interested to know if you have a 2yo climber like me..) and a table full of different hot sauces. Would definitely recommend and...
