WORST experience ever by a dentist! My husband went to see Dr. Juvet to have a major surgery to get 16 teeth removed. Up until recently, we did not have insurance so my husband's teeth had become badly rotted and constantly infected. He's also not a huge fan at all of going to the dentist so we were referred to Dr. Juvet by his primary dentist since the procedure was very severe and he would need to be put to sleep. We thought we were in good hands. Not once but twice Dr. Juvet failed to even extract one tooth from my husband's mouth!! The first attempt at his office, my husband couldn't fall asleep for the procedure with the anesthesia they used... Dr. Juvet still attempted to go on with the extraction anyway, even after noticing my husband was having a difficult time being put to sleep. Despite us being told they were not able to do anything to his mouth due to my husband becoming 'combative' instead of passed out, he still came out of the office with a bloody mouth and a prescription of percocet. Yet all they did was stick a needle in his mouth?! Not sure that should of caused blood to be drawn or required pain killers but I'm not a dentist or an expert on the topic. After that incident we were told my husband needed to go to the hospital to be put to sleep with a different anesthetic in 2 weeks. In the meantime he needed to have a physical done before that to complete the procedure. My husband just had a physical last July 2017. After contacting his PCP, we were unable to get a physical before his surgery date. We contacted Dr. J's office to let them know, but they still gave him his pre-op anyway and the appt for surgery along with the O.R at the hospital was still confirmed all the way up until the night before. The day of surgery Dr. J comes out to the waiting room to let us know he wasnt doing the procedure because the physical wasn't done and he had known this since the beginning of the week when we called his office. Yet,Dr. J still took the entire day off for the surgery, showed up for surgery, had us show up for the surgery but NEVER cancelled it & refused to allow my husband to follow through with the procedure!? This being after his office had continuously been in touch throughout the week & confirmed the appt, not once saying it was cancelled! I'm so happy our insurance paid for this man to take a day off to do NOTHING!! I've never met more of a selfish crook in my life. He's not there to help patients and that is clearly obvious. He wasted our time & an entire day, not to mention an operating room someone else could have used. I missed work and a days pay for nothing when this man had no intention of ever doing the procedure and even had the audacity to tell my husband to take responsibility for his own actions by not taking better care of himself! How about taking responsibility for ripping off your patients & their insurance companies, wasting everyone's time including the hospital's, and severely lacking communication with your staff!? Now back at square one,we get to find another dentist to go through this entire process again! I highly DO NOT recommend this man! He will traumatize you and waste your time. Even if you don't mind going to the dentist don't be surprised for...

The office was clean and the removal of my daughter's tooth was quick and straightforward. The support staff was good but I have to give this negative review because I will never return here again.

My 8 year old daughter is special needs and has a cognitive deficit which made tooth removal at her regular dentist not an option. I took her to several appointments at her regular dentist who then referred us to a special pediatric dentist who then referred us here. This extraction took about a year to plan and finally get booked. In the meantime, my daughter had struggled with the resulting pain of the decayed baby tooth.

I am in nursing school full time and I work doubles at the hospital as a nurse's aid to provide for my children as I am their only financial provider. My mother is a great support and my daughter loves her and she graciously brought my daughter to the consult with this dentist because of my work and class schedule. We didn't want to move the appointment and push out addressing my daughter's dental concerns/her pain even further.

The dentist did not introduce himself to my mother or my daughter and was very cold and then made a commentary to her on my poor mothering for not being present at this appointment.

We let it go for the sake of my daughter. I came to the tooth extraction and he neither introduced himself to me or my child once more and was very cold. At one point during the anesthesia process my daughter's heart rate was 150. I said "hm her heart rate is pretty high" as a statement. Not panicking. Her resting heart rate had been in the 80s so I just made note of it. I am a mother after all and was just wondering if that was standard.

He was very cold and curt with me and said "that's perfectly normal for a kid."

And that is all he said to me during the entire procedure. He didn't even excuse himself from the room. He just left.

So sure, the job will get done quickly and efficiently in a perfectly sterile environment but if you want patient centered care, go somewhere else. Not sure what his problem was but we definitely did not feel...

Front desk staff - 10/10 Tech/Hygienists - 7/10 Javet - 4/10 3 stars. The entire visit felt rushed and impersonal. I was moved from room to room with little explanation, and the doctor’s bedside manner was cold and distant. If it weren’t for his assistant checking in and asking if I was okay, the procedure would have felt completely inhumane given how much brute force he used during the extraction.

It was a difficult tooth to remove, but not a single reassuring word was offered beyond “open wider” during the anesthetic injection. The assistant was the one who told me the tooth was finally out. The doctor said only one word as he left the room...“Vicodin.”

I’m giving 3 stars because, a day later, the suture is holding and there’s no sign of a dry socket. The job was done, but the experience was dehumanizing and unpleasant. Pharmacy received the med orders but apparently incomplete so that added delays and more work for me having to call the clinic a few times. Don't wait too long without having to check in on pending scripts, especially later in the day. Will definitely be conveying my experience to my ortho provider who referred me to them at my next...
