1306 — Local services in Wheeling

Holding my event at 1306 was a wonderful decision!

I live in VA and was planning a baby shower for my daughter-in-law who lives 300 miles away near Wheeling, WV. I was struggling to find an appropriate venue that had charm, could comfortably hold 50 guests, and was reasonably priced. Someone recommended 1306 to me and wow, did it fit all my requirements!! The owner, Brooke, was wonderful to work with. She was prompt in her communications and was very accommodating, which I especially appreciated since I was long-distance. She did a Facetime tour of the venue with me and I was sold! It is really lovely! We didn’t need a lot of decorations to make the space special and beautiful. The flow of the venue worked out perfectly for us – we had a spacious area to mingle and enough room for tables for a light luncheon, as well as area for gifts, photos, even a coffee bar!!

Brooke and her sister Natalie were fantastic in their support the day of the shower. I totally underestimated the amount of help I would need to run the shower and Brooke and family stepped right in to assist – without qualms! They were so helpful, and the gesture was nicest thing to this stressed hostess! I just can’t express my appreciation to them for all their efforts in making the shower run smoothly. They went above and beyond in my eyes! Unfortunately, the City of Wheeling is doing construction right in front of the venue as part of their streetscape beautification project. This certainly wasn’t 1306’s doing and Brooke was on-point in providing options for parking and access to the front door. She turned what could have been a negative into a non-issue for us!!

What a perfect venue with outstanding service for my mom’s 50th birthday! 1306 is a gem in downtown Wheeling, WV (and not just because they’re a converted jewelry store 😉) Brooke, Natalie and Spencer all provided exceptional service that paired nicely with the stunning venue. Such an impressive space to host an event!

They had absolutely everything we could think of (and things we forgot!) I appreciate their willingness to help at a moment’s notice. I love that they provided the centerpieces, silverware and dishware, tablecloths and more. The festive decor made for an ultimately inviting space!

We were able to use the projector to show a video message for my mom and engage the guests in a trivia game using Kahoot. Had a beautiful evening and my mom felt truly celebrated in the immaculate space....

1306 is a beautiful venue. Our band had the pleasure of performing there for a private party last Friday, and it was a fantastic experience. The space is elegant and has been beautifully restored.

The acoustics in the venue were outstanding, allowing our music to sound full and clear while still maintaining a perfect volume for conversation among the guests. The layout of the venue easily accommodated our five-piece band, and the ambiance added a special touch to the event.
