Spencer's — Local services in Whitehall

NEVER will I EVER patron this store again! Was in there today & have NEVER been treated with such disrespect from ANY worker as I was from the greasy, blue haired guy! There was a younger male who was working, who was so very kind; however when I went to ask for help, he wasn't around at that particular moment. Two different instances in one visit! The first was when I put 2 different shirts on the top shelf sprawled out for the little to see different color choices. I left them there without folding them bc we were going to go back to them, the little was busy checking something else out. When I went back to collect the two shirts to show, the blue hai guy came grunting and nastily ripped them off the shelf. When I apologized & said I planned to come back to it (which was what I was doing) he just walked off with them, huffing and puffing loudly! The 2nd time was the final straw, when he came back around and I said excuse me, not once, not twice, but 3 times- to ask for help reaching an item up top on a rack (those handles to reach up were nowhere in sight). The look he threw at me & the grunt he did, I had enough! I threw the shirts I had in my arms ready to buy on their floor and left!

My advice, go spend your time & money at Hot Topic, the Disney Store, FYE, Zumiez (sp?!). The staff at EACH and EVERYONE of the stores I listed were beyond PHENOMENAL (ESPECIALLY Zumiez)! They made shopping with the little a VERY PLEASANT experience! Had Spencer's been the 1st store I went to, I'd have walked right out of that mall and NEVER looked back!

If someone isn't having a good day, it gives you NO RIGHT to take it out on a Customer who did NOTHING TO YOU! Pull your Surveillance around 4-5 & hope you have audio! That's not someone who should be working...

Stopped here to pick up a ugly Christmas sweater for a Christmas present. Was going to purchase two more Ugly Christmas sweaters but 😕 I wasn't sure if I needed the large or extra large sweater for myself and when I asked the guy working on the store floor if I could try the large on over my shirt for two seconds to be sure if the large fit and if the large didn't fit I would purchase the x-tra large sweater. OMG he was so rude and he said No you can't try it on you might get it dirty and sweat in it. If you want to try it on you have to purchase it . So I stated if I purchase it and try it on right outside your door and it doesn't fit then I can bring it back in for an exchange. Oh he wasn't Happy. He was like you better get a receipt in such a nasty voice! 😉 he spoke to me so rude I decided to not purchase the two other ugly Christmas sweaters. I will buy them somewhere else. 😩 I am not in a hurry to come back here after today's...

My experience in this store was terrible. If I could leave zero stars I would. I waited for someone to help me as I stood next to the checkout area watching one employee check a customer out while another employee stood there joking around while completely ignoring me. After about 4-5 mins the same employee joking around looked directly in my face from 5 feet away, turned and walked away. I left the store at this point because of how angry I felt. I was there to buy a few gifts for my wife for Valentine’s Day. I have been a customer of Spencer’s for about 20 years & I have spent thousands of dollars over the years. I will never go back to this specific store again. If these employees don’t want to deal with people they need to find a new profession outside of customer...
