Keystone Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Whitehall

Visiting Allentown for my Daughter’s Graduation and we went to dinner. The place itself had a nice atmosphere and layout. Hosting staff sat us down immediately and the waitress arrived quickly as well.

But then everything went downhill from there.

I asked if they could make a Tequila Sunrise and the waitress said yes. What she brought back was a pink drink, that looked like a fruit punch. It tasted like sugar. We explained how to make the drink and sent the pink drink back. The returned drink was mostly orange juice with a splash of Grenadine and no alcohol whatsoever. I couldn’t help but notice that the Bartending staff looked like they were young and not experienced for that particular job.

The food was eatable, but nothing to rave over. The Mucho Nachos with BBQ pork was very disappointing. There was barely a teaspoon of BBQ pork on the dish. The nachos were melted into one blob of cheese. There was no balance between the guacamole, olives, lettuce and tomatoes. The salsa and sour cream was in separate containers on the plate.

The Crab dip was overcooked with a crust on top that you had to pull off to get to the actual dip.

The chicken wings were cooked well but the Asian Tang sauce was forgettable.

The sliders were expected to be good since one of the individuals in my party stated that “the burgers are good here.” However, that person also stated, that the sliders that she had fell short of the mark that she expected.

The Pepsi products (regular and diet) were poorly calibrated and I ordered a regular Pepsi and was given a Diet Pepsi.

Overall, this was an Epic Fail for restaurant drink and food service. While walking out of the establishment, I notice on the sign on their marquee stating that they were hiring for cook staff. If I would have notice the sign before I went in, I probably would have recommended going elsewhere.

It was our first time here, and in short, it was not a good experience.

We walked in about 4 pm, while the restaurant was a little busy, it did not seem "slammed". After a short wait for the hostess to realize we were there, we were seated in a booth in the back. After 20 min, the hostess stops and asks if we have been helped yet, which we were not. She stated she would make sure we're taken care of. Another 10+ minutes go by, our waitress comes, takes our drink order. She asks if we need more time, and we state we've been waiting for 30 min. She replies, "Oh well, i was only told 10, I mean, 5 min ago you were there." ( You mean 10, and you tried to minimize it by saying 5).

Anyways, we have our order in. The food comes out, which includes wings, chicken sandwiche, and chicken wrap. The chicken wrap had 4 small cut-up pieces of chicken. The wings were ordered dry with sauce on the side but came with sauce on them.

In short, we are left with the impression that the waitress did not want to be there, and overall customer service is not a priority at Keystone. As our waitress or any of the other 3 waitresses and manager continully walked by our table and did not check on us. Overall, in addition to the poor service, the food quality wasn't there either.

Horrible management! We planned our day to come here to watch the fight. I called ahead to make sure they were showing it and I asked if there was a minimum per person the lady on the phone told me no. So we show up at 930ish order a ton of food and finish at 10:10 the waitress asks if we are ordering anything else we say no but we are gonna be watching the fight. She informs us we have to order 10.00 more / person starting now. We ask to speak to the manager, he tells us its right here and points to a small piece of paper w tiny writing. I tell him we ordered more than enough to cover it. He says it starts at 10pm we can't just sit here for 3 hrs and not order anything. Like dude we did and we are paying customers! He acted like we were scum and trying to steal something. I tell him I even called ahead to make sure and the lady told me there was no cover he says that's what the papers for. Omg you have to be kidding me needless to say, we got kicked out and will never be going back! Ps the hostess did apologize for giving me bad info. which was nice at least someone cares about...
