When I first started going here, it was great but the last 3 or 4 times I've gone to get Gel Manicures, they have done a horrible job. On one instance, the gel polish I chose was too light and one of those streaky nail polishes, which is fine I've picked those in the past and I've had them change the polish. But this one guy didn't let me know it wasn't going to get darker and less streaky and proceeded to put 3 coats of this polish on. After he was done he sad the polish was no good and he is going to put a darker color on top. He put 3 coats of the darker color on top and if you are familiar with gel manicures too many coats makes it really thick and not pretty. They looked absolutely horrible. They were so thick it made my finger nails look oddly shaped. And then coming back to get it taken off was a pain in the butt, the woman had a hard time and was scrapping my finger nails so hard it was painful. On another instance, just recently the guy (not the same one, a different one) kept telling me how much he hated the color I chose. But after putting them under the light and he would wipe it, the polish kept coming off. This went on 4 or 5 times and each time I asked him to let me choose a different color to change it because the more he messed with them, the worse they began to look but he ignored me and went on messing with them while telling me he hated the color. He had 4 other employees come over to ask for help and they tried to blame me and told me not to move my fingers while under the light. He was getting frustrated that he started to use that sander tool and he cut my pinky finger then put alcohol on it. I left $40 later with dull dinged up nails just to go home and fix them myself. Here I am a few days later and they are chipping so incredibly bad (gel polish doesn't chip). Will never return which is sad because I really...
Read moreI had a few terrible experiences here. A guy told me he would soak my nails and he thought my real nails were fake and without asking me a single question, proceeded to cut my real nails completely off. I'm reclined in the pedicure chair bc they want to heard everyone like animals through here and so my arm is extended fully and I'm slightly reclined so i can't see what he is doing but i feel like he is clipping my nails. I thought maybe it was the tip to shorten them but when i look he was cutting them completely off. He didn't think to ask me anything or talk to me like a human. Oh btw, he was the guy doing my pedicure , so I'm not sure why he was touching my nails at all. Now i have no choice but to stay and have them fix my nails bc he just cut 4 of my ten nails off. He did it so straight that i had to do coffin even though i wear almond. Then the guy who is about to do my nails sees im upset he buffs my nails and removed everything so quick he took an entire knick out of my nail and i was bleeding on 2 fingers. My fingers hurt so bad then and still. This is the short version. Then they charge me $20 more than i typically pay when i go there. And they ruined my nails. The manager told me i need a o communicate so they know. I told her he said he was going to soak my nails so i said ok, he did t say anything about butchering them and he didn't ask me one single question.Paid bc they were not symptomatic whatsoever for what they had done to my nails and i let the manager know i would not be returning. I'm so upset. Do not go to rockstar u less you want to be cut all up on your hands and hearded through...
Read moreI have heard negative things about this salon, but thought maybe they were isolated incidents. I should have listened.PEDICURE; The pedicure was very basic. When I say basic, I mean my feet did not get exfoliated and there was only the slightest attempt at a massage. Polish does not cover my entire nails, and top coat does not go all the way back to the cuticle. Very little nail prep was done (slight trimming around the nail only). Did not clean under nails. Nails are cut/filed higher on one side than the other making them slanted. MANICURE; Where do I even start? . She sat me down and promptly stepped on my right foot and didn’t even think twice about it. The nail tech first soaked my fingertips in plain water. She trimmed my cuticles then started to massage my arms (I say arms because lotion never touched my hands.) She rubbed the very small amount of lotion into my arms. She went to put the base coat on and smudged my middle finger, and again, paid no mind. She went to progress to the next finger when I called her attention back to the one she had just messed up. She tried to just put more clear polish over the LARGE smudge. I stopped her and would have left, but the (?) owner/manager said she would come do it. All she did was polish my nails. The whole manicure (with the language barrier and all) lasted 15 minutes. I went ahead and paid for both manicure and pedicure and tipped only a small amount of what I would normally tip. I do not normally do reviews, but if your looking for a good mani/pedi, take your...
