Sister Moses Boutique — Local services in Wichita

I really wanted to love this boutique, but my experience left me disappointed. When you first walk in, the staff are incredibly sweet—almost too sweet. I visited on a tough day and was looking for a little pick-me-up. They encouraged me to try on many outfits and “loved” everything I put on.

I ended up buying a pair of super-soft wide-leg jeans for $148—far more than I’d normally spend. They were a bit small, but the staff assured me they’d stretch. Once I got home and tried them with other tops, they looked awful on me and made me feel even worse.

Unfortunately, I didn’t realize there was only a 7-day return policy. I live 45 minutes away and couldn’t get back within that time. When I finally returned two weeks later hoping to exchange them, I was told, “Sorry—you loved them when you left,” even though I clearly remember expressing doubt in the store.

I understand they’re a small local business and need to make money, but treating customers well is how you keep them. The shop does carry many cute things, but the heavy sales tactics and refusal to help after the fact left a bad taste. Sadly, I won’t be...

Bummer: Customer service is only when taking your money. I found Sister Moses Unique Boutique at the Vintage Market Days this year. I was so exited to purchase the 2 tops I got. NOT Cheap. Graduation day came and I was ready to wear one of them. I was horrified to find 2 holes in the back of the over $76.00 one I saved for such special occasion. I took it to their local store, as I was sure they would make it right. Boy was I wrong. "Nope. Sorry, All Sales Final." The girl did offer one like it that is too big and sloppy looking. Then offered to give me the name of their seamstress. Really pay more to have 2 holes in the middle of the back repaired. I have sewn for over 50 Years and I know fabric. No way this thin shear fabric can be properly repaired for a special ocassion. Any repair will show in this location. If you shop here check it good. Because they do not stand behind their products. I will NEVER shop here again. If there was a way to give a NEGATIVE STAR REVIEW I would certainly take their stars. They lost my family...

Terrible service, walked in and was immediately insulted by a very uppity woman. Had a new infant in stroller, fast asleep. Had a sign that said no children under 16. We assumed them not wanting kids to destroy the store. Understandable, but an infant asleep in a stroller! Ridiculous would never give these people my business.
