Merry Jeffries Community Center — Local services in Williamsburg

This place is nothing extravagant by any means. The outside is beautiful with great river views however the inside is very plain and not worth the amt they request for reserving it in my opinion. Everyone's opinion is different. Last time we rented they charged us $150 and I think $100 of it was basically a retainer fee that you got back when you returned the key and we were required to clean the entire house before we left and turned in the key. You did have the option of NOT cleaning it and they'd charge you $50 to clean it themselves. I felt like the establishment wasn't that clean to begin with and honestly debated letting them keep an extra $50. For a small wedding it may be worth it or may be even a family reunion but id ask to tour it first to make sure it...

Nice small venue for parties. This facility is handicap accessible. My daughter was had a baby shower in the Merry Jeffries house. There is a kitchen on-site, 2 refrigerators, a stove with oven, dishwasher, and an ice machine it was out of order when I was there. Plenty of counter space for placing foods and drinks. Tables and chairs are available in the building. There is a second floor, it is an open area, with a balcony over looking the lower floor on one side.

Beautiful for wedding up to 50 guest but hot in building. They lock control for temperature with near 100 outside it was 80 or more in the building. Wouldn't recommend summer rental. Better wait until late Fall through...
