Well now, let me tell y’all somethin’ — if you ain’t never been to W.D. Bryant and Son Hardware Store, you’re surely missin’ out on a real gem. Soon as I stepped through them front doors, it felt like I was right at home. They don’t make stores like this much no more, I’ll tell ya that. It’s the kinda place where folks know your name, ask how your momma’s doin’, and don’t mind spendin’ a minute helpin’ you find just what you’re lookin’ for — even if you ain’t exactly sure what that is.

Every aisle’s packed full of just about anything a body could need — from nails and bolts to tools, paint, and good ol’ fashioned advice. And if they ain’t got what you’re huntin’ for right then, they’ll do their best to order it up for ya. That kinda service don’t grow on trees, folks. The fellers and ladies workin’ there know their stuff, too. They ain’t just readin’ off a box; they’ve used them tools, fixed them engines, built them barns. You can trust what they tell ya.

The store’s got this real down-home feel, smells like fresh lumber and oil and somethin’ that reminds you of workin’ on projects with your granddaddy. Prices are fair, the stock’s good and sturdy, and you leave outta there feelin’ like you made some new friends instead of just makin’ a purchase.

Last Friday we were on our way from Ohio to Tennessee with a group of friends and unfortunately had a break down just outside of Williamsburg, none of the local parts stores or dealer were able to get the part for us, nor did they have what we needed to patch it together. We called W-D Bryant just as they were closing, and they graciously stayed open until we were able to get across town to their store. They were extremely kind and knowledgeable in helping us put together a few hose barbs to get our coolant hose mended and thankfully back on the road. Without their kindness and willingness to stay open a few minutes late, we would have been stuck until Tuesday or with left a hefty tow bill.

WD Bryant’s in Williamsburg advertised a product so I purchased it for in store pick up. Received confirmation that the product was ready for pick up. Once a mistake was realized by store, made on there end with pricing it was then told to me they couldn’t give me the product they accidentally hit the confirm button on order pickup ready and said they had to cancel all my orders just because they priced it wrong.
