Everyone in the store is incredibly helpful, welcoming, and always willing to share their knowledge. Whether you’re brand new to needlepoint or a seasoned stitcher, they are happy to answer questions, recommend threads, and guide you through getting started. Their passion for the craft and their kindness makes every visit a true joy!

I recently attended a Mahjong 101 class hosted at the shop, and it was such a fun and engaging experience. It’s wonderful to see how Megan is creating opportunities for people across the Williamsburg community (and beyond) to come together through classes and events.

At one of the recent sip and stitch events, a young woman joined who specializes in hand embroidery. It is lovely to see how inclusive and welcoming the shop is for all types of needleworkers. Williamsburg Needlepoint isn’t just a shop, it’s a vibrant community hub for creativity and connection.

Williamsburg Needlepoint is my favorite needlepoint store! I often travel from Virginia Beach just to shop here. Megan, the owner, is amazing. She is so passionate and dedicated to the craft and her customers. She is very knowledgeable and helpful, and so is Mary! This store makes you feel welcomed, whether you’re a long-time needlepointer or a first-time stitcher!

The store has a large selection of canvases, and a wide variety of threads. She carries the basics like DMC, essentials, etc, and also specialty threads like silk lamé, fyre works, alpaca, velvet, and more. There are also accessories like bags, needle minders, etc.

WN offers more than just needlepoint- they host Mahjong classes and fun themed sit & stitch events. I’ve attended both types of events and it’s a cool way to meet others in the community with similar interests- everyone has been so nice and welcoming! I can’t wait to watch WN grow and see what will be offered next.

The owner is so helpful. She takes time to take about past, present, and future projects. The store is immaculate. She has the entire rainbow gallery, which is great because I’ve always wanted to try some specialty threads but I needed to see the colors in person. She has a great selection of canvases, from pop culture to traditional motifs. The store was organized with canvases organized by category. She also had two locally themed canvases pre kitted.
