We were so excited about this place because the menu has all our favorites. We specifically came for a Bahn mi, pho, and the crispy noodle dish (mì xào giòn). Honestly, everything was fine. The food was authentic, fresh, and served hot. It just needed more! More pickled vegetables on the Bahn mi. More sauce on the crispy noodles (the best past is when everything sort of mixes together at the end). More veggies in the pho. Because the food is so true to original form, it had a chance to be great... just deliver on the spices and balanced flavors that already exist. The pho broth specifically was a miss for us. It was beautifully clear. Someone took time to make it, but but was very very heavy on the sesame oil. I didn't get the clove, or cinnamon that is typically there. Also, there isn't a "bbq" or spicy broth option, which is fast way to pack flavor. To note, We have a lot of kids, and they did a great bringing extra plates and were good about letting them enjoy their food. This place was packed. And I think it could be great. It's just needs a nudge.

I paid $30 on food for 2 to go dishes, price is good for cheap tasting pho and vermicelli. I ordered Vietnamese wings , they tasted like burnt pepper, I ordered them many times before and I can tell they burned the wings and didn’t marinate them in the fish oil. Too much pepper in rice dish , and served with old meat. What a disgrace to serve such food after waiting over 40 mins for food. Called back to tell them how displeasing the to go was after having their food many times before without a problem. They hung up on me and said my $30 is nothing to them.

Heard good things about this place. I ordered pho for pickup. To my surprise when I open the container, the raw meat was with the veggies and cooked meat. My eggrolls were cooked in old oil and didn't taste great. The broth did taste good so I used it to make some noodle soup. I was about to eat the combined raw food with cooked food. I don't think I'll be trying this place again.

Alright so this review is LONG over due, I apologize for that!

So, about 3 months ago, I meet a girl on a dating app - she’s great, we click, I’m excited! Girl gets super sick, we haven’t officially met yet but it’s game on, I’ve got you boo. Now see, I didn’t realize because it was the 4th of July, a lot of places were closed early and ya know I’m not the type of person to show up empty handed.

Nowhere in Richmond(where I live) was available and when I stumbled upon this place, close to her, I was hype. I start the drive there after picking up some essential cold supplies, I get 30 mins away and I call to place the order and… they’re closing in 10, I’m definitely not going to make it.

I’m a little dejected but of course I understand and I said so, cancel my order and start trying to figure out a plan C. My phone goes off a few minutes later and the same older gentleman on the line asked “when could you be here?”, I tell him my eta. and he tells me to just get there asap and they’ll take care of my order.

I get there and I’m worried because the place is dark, I call the older gentleman again(was it his cell?) and he tells me the cooks left because they didn’t realize I was only a couple of minutes away and tells me to wait - he’s going to ask them to come back.

At this point I feel like I’ve been so much trouble, I tell him to please let them enjoy their night, I understand and I appreciated the effort but he insisted, called me a couple times again to make sure I was waiting.

The cooks show up, unlock the doors and cash me out, and to my dismay refuse to take the hefty tip I desperately wanted to leave. I tried, trust me.

Anyway, I make it with the order in hand and my mission successful. That relationship didn’t last but this place definitely left an amazing impression.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. That...

Chicken was good but guy was pretty rude. He kept telling me i was eating it wrong when i ordered 2 dishes and combined them because i was allergic to a good bit of bith of them and had to ask for half the ingredients to not be in them. I dont mind having to order 2 dishes and just requesting only a few things of what actually comes in each but being repetitively told throughout my meal (about 4-5 times and even as i left!) that im eating something incorrectly because i add veggies from one dish into my soup which was technically another dish is a bit extreme. He also made a big deal about me being one person and ordering 2 dishes after he made me write down my order the second i came in even though i was the only customer in the place and when another customer came in, he rushed me to finish writting it so he could go to them and take their order. He also then proceeded to tell me i had to move to another table after having told me to sit wherever and ten minutes later someone else walked in and sat at that table and it wasnt an issue. Very weird and not very comfortable experience. Im still kind of confused what in the world was going on. Food wasnt bad but not phenomenal, thats the only reason theyre getting 2 stars though was pretty pricey nearing $40 for just broth,...

Eat here if you want Food Poisoning.

If Negative stars were an option, I would give them as both my girlfriend and I were considerably worse off after dining here than we were before we had arrived. We should've turned around and avoided this place from the beginning.

First, we walked in at 8pm, an hour before they close. There were already people eating there, we were told dining in wouldn't be an option and that we could only get take-out. His excuse was that he, "Wanted to go home early today". When given our food it was completely raw, broth was cold. I get it, most pho meat is cooked in the broth but i still found this a little weird.

She ordered beef pho, Which she heated up and finished cooking at home(Why did we pay dinner prices for uncooked food?) and I ordered Egg rolls, we didn't share food at all, yet we both were in the bathroom in less than 3 hours vomiting. What came up was completely undigested egg roll. Same on her end with the Pho. Neither of us got any sleep that night and had to call out of work the next day.

Was this intentional due to us being denied dining in the night before? Was this some kind of payback for being the last customers in an hour before they close? Either way it was unacceptable and took nearly 48 hours for both of our...
