If I could give a business 0 stars I would. My wife’s haircut was canceled because she is a woman, despite her looking for a men’s haircut. This is a violation of the civil rights act of 1964. I know it’s North Dakota, but come on, this is messed up.
We have never had trouble with a business being unwilling to cut her hair despite it being a ‘Men’s Barbershop’ and we have been to many.
It’s pretty messed up that a business would turn away a new customer based on what’s in between their legs.
We will not be attempting to bring our business back to this company ever again.
I guess there’s nothing else to say other than, congratulations on being one more person that thinks men are better than women.
Update: We had our foster son, convince us to give Platinum Blades a second chance a few months ago because a man he greatly looks up to in life, goes there, so it’s where he wanted, and I relented. Which was a mistake.
The man he looks up to, set up the appointment, and did us the kindness of prepaying. When we went for the haircut, our boy tried to tell the barber what he wanted. The barber didn’t listen at all and gave him something completely different, that was a complete hack job. From what I’ve hear since, it sounds like it’s pretty much the only style the guy will do. It was so uneven, we couldn’t do anything with it, except style it in the exact what it had been styled when he got out of the chair, and it was so short, we couldn’t take him somewhere else, to try to fix it, unless he wanted to have a crew cut or shave it bald, which he did not. He instead elected to where beanies until it was long enough to cut into the style he wanted.
On top of the bad haircut, once he was finished, the barber denied being prepaid, and insisted on being paid again.
So not only is the shop sexist, the barber doesn’t listen/respect his clients, or have enough talent to give an array or...
Read moreGood and bad! I'll start with the bad because that's what I'll remember the most about this place. I ordered online a 45$ hair cut slot. like anywhere you show them the hair style you want so they can give you the haircut you want to match that style. How else are they supposed to know how you want your hair cut??? So apparently by telling him what kind of haircut you want increased the 45$ to a 65$ service and he told me since he had to use scissors and bla bla bla he had to charge me 65$ I didn't ask for anything extra, I didn't need my hair styled, I'm literally going to work right after the cut and wearing a hard hat. So it's borderline criminal to upcharge without letting your customer know and very unprofessional to blame the customer for the price for what is routine at any shop. Show the cut get the cut you ask for.... now the good, the guy was very nice compliments and great attitude during the cut, he dis some extra stuff you do t get at most barber shops, which is why I accepted the upcharge and was generally happy with the service. Hair gut looks good, I was in and out in 20 minutes. I was happy and it was a great experience until he charged me more than what I asked for and didn't Inform me throughout the process. But I'll remember underhanded up charge tactics over the great experience hence the 2...
Read moreI don’t usually write reviews, but this barbershop deserves it. A friend recommended it to me, and even though it was an hour drive, it was worth every minute. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed—the atmosphere was relaxed yet professional, and Lee made me feel right at home.
Lee took the time to listen to what I wanted, paid close attention to detail, and delivered the best haircut I’ve ever had. You can tell he truly takes pride in his craft. The precision, the fade, the style—it was flawless.
I’ve been to plenty of barbershops, but this one stands out above the rest. The drive was more than worth it, and I can confidently say I’ve found my go-to spot from now on. Highly recommend to anyone looking for not just a haircut, but a...
