Scotchman Store — Local services in Wilmington

On the night of 08/31/2024 the employee who attended to my brother that night, discriminated against us and called the police for this reason that I'm going to explain, my brother is a legal resident of the US and is visiting NC for the holidays and as a customer he entered this store to buy an alcoholic beverage and this employee asked him for identification and my brother showed him the US green card where he could clearly see my brother's picture and date of birth and this employee the name Naiman refused to sell the drink to my brother and demanded him to leave the store and called the police on us, that was racial discrimination on the part of that employee and I'm going to file my complaint at the Scotchman Store corporation office, the employee Naiman said that he only accepted driver's licenses, regular ID and passports, what I don't understand is how they accept passports from other countries and a US green card that is issued by the US It is not accepted as identification, I am going to raise this because we are Latinos and blacks but legal in this country and we feel discriminated against by...

Me and my friends walked in to use the restroom. We were going to buy some drinks considering we have just left our vacation area and wanted to head home. Whoever worked night shift proceeded to say “can I help you with anything” in which we replied to “no we just want to get some water and use the restroom”. She proceeded to say “okay because I don’t deal with that hanging out stuff in my store”. We were literally just buying water soda and using the restroom. She proceeded to tell another customer to tell us to get out of the restroom( keep in mind there was 4 of us and we had a 4 hour drive home). When we felt uncomfortable, we really didn’t want to buy anything and just walk out, but we still got our beverages and left in a normal manner. I used to go there for my morning drinks before work, one day I'm in line and the manager Cody gets caught by a customer double scanning a drink and trying to charge the guy for two...I thought it was great that the customer added it up and caught it. (Then how many times have I paied for two drinks and only got one?), when I get up to the counter he refuses to sell me anything and goes on to call me a theif stating that " I seen you steal a lighter off the counter yesterday, and your a theif"...blew me away, when I asked for proof he pointed to a rack full of lighters saying "yea you stole it from the third row 2nd lighter back", there wasn't even a lighter missing....I asked to see the camera footage, and he refused.
