Whenever I visit places I haven’t been to before, I always like to look stuff up — especially for coffee. You know those typical New Yorkers that love their coffee? Yup. That’s me. I’ve been to Wilmington more than I can count since my grandparents moved to the outskirts ten years ago. I always went around where they live, but this time I wanted to mix it up a bit. While researching, I stumbled upon here. Don’t ask me how or why, but something just drew me to this place. When I finally got to my grandparents’ house, I knew where I was going the next day. Next day came and I popped into here with my sister. She and I both got different drinks but shared. My sister and I were surprised by how delicious it was. I couldn’t understand it. Out of everywhere I’ve looked up for coffee (not just in Wilmington, but every single place I have been to, minus NOLA), this is the best place I have ever been. Hands down. Hard stop. I went to talk with the woman at the counter, Lauren. She gave me insight into how coffee is a science for her, and if she didn’t want to pay for bad coffee, why have others pay money for bad coffee. At one point, I told her I tried an espresso tonic in Savannah and abhorred it. Lauren made me one to see if she could change my mind. Let me put it this way: I’m not drinking an espresso tonic anywhere but from here. I thought that would be the first and only time I’d be there. Nope. Came back again with my sister with what I thought would be the final time before heading home. Tried a different drink from the fall menu. I loved it. I left. And guess what? I came back again the next day and tried a different fall drink (I wrote down every drink my sister and I had, I’m just drawing a blank currently). I went up to Lauren and thanked her. Lauren was an absolute sweetheart, the other staff working there are absolute sweethearts. I cannot find anything to complain about. The staff was warm and welcoming; it was decorated wonderfully; the different coffees were amazing; and all of their mocktail, stickers, journals, snarky things, and other items to buy are awesome — as well as super funny (yes, you will see the F bomb dropped if you’re opposed to that). If you’re not happy with the way something was made for you? Tell them and they will be more than happy to fix it to your liking! The fact I came here three times says a lot (no, it’s not a coffee addiction, rather a coffee solution). I found my little niche in Wilmington the next time I’m down! And an A+++ bonus for them for not cracking jokes at...
Read moreDarling, Darling, Darling! My husband treated me this morning to an impromptu coffee date to this adorable place he found in the next town over. It was quaint, cozy and full of sass! Leashed dog friendly indoors!! Yaassss!! The gift items around the store are the perfect mix of sarcasm. I felt like they just GOT me. I spied so many special things that I know where I’m going for birthday treats in the coming months! Now the coffee….. I’m just so picky. Out of all the coffee shops from Wilmington to Topsail, I’ve only liked 2 in terms of coffee. I am THRILLED to add a 3rd!! I’m not sure what magic they put at the bottom on my cup for that last sip but Oh My!!! My husband just kept laughing as I Oooo’d and Aahhhh’d! A mix of butterscotch, caramel and toffee made me a very happy girl! I also got a Boba tea for the road in the raddest purple color. This place hit all my feels and senses this...
Read moreI was recommend to come and try this place and I instantly fell in love as soon as I walked in! The baristas were extremely nice and friendly, taking their time going over the menu and making me a secret menu drink (y'all need to try the chocolate covered strawberry cold brew...like seriously!). While I was waiting for my drink I was looking at all the stationary and found so many cute things. We talked about my pittie and they encouraged me to bring him in next time I visit as they are a dog friendly place and love their furry friends. 10/10 recommend stopping here and giving this place a chance. It's one of my favorite spots in Wilmington and as a girlie who loves stationary it's a dream come true. They also have the CUTEST study / work station area and they are 5 minutes away from the beach. Love everything about...
