This ain't your grocery store ice cream sandwich! I came here to try their good-looking ice cream sandwiches and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of cookie and ice cream options. If you get a hoagie (for around $6), you can choose 2 cookies (either of the same kind or different) among classics like chocolate chip and M&M to more unique flavors like Oreo, Nutella, and Earl Grey. They even have gluten-free cookies! Some were bigger than others and I'm sure the size of the cookie you get correlates to the amount of ice cream you will get so go for the larger cookies. I went with an M&M and a Nutella cookie. Then you get to choose among many flavors and I went with the Cow Trax (Vanilla ice cream with chocolate swirl and peanut butter cups). I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the ice cream sandwich was to eat. The cookies were soft enough that when you were ready to bite into them, they broke easily. My issue with some other cookies is that the cookie is so hard that the sandwich just falls apart. The ice cream will definitely start to melt so you should not let it sit. Admittedly, it's a little messy but what good ice cream sandwich isn't? I see a few negative reviews about this place but I thought the experience was totally positive. No complaints from me. It's not as good as the Cookie Monstah truck but it's pretty darn good.

I've seen this place have a line out the door once, but when I went on a weekday around 6pm, there was only one other person in line. I've only had what was pictured and some day-old oatmeal cookies, but they were all great. The gluten free chocolate cookie reminded me of a macaron: brittle on the outside but soft and creamy on the inside. The ice cream was smooth and satisfying.

Love this place! I always get a half hoagie. I wish the Somerville location near me didn’t close but I’ll drive to Winchester for the ice cream and cookies! My only suggestion would be that they have a microwave to heat up the cookies. Otherwise don’t change a thing!

I just placed my first order with Hoagies and they had Grubhub deliver it...the reviews state that they have great ice cream well i am sorry to disagree...I received my order and the ice cream was totally melted...I asked for hot fudge to be put on the side and it was put directly on the ice cream...I called Hoagie and I told them but I was told there was nothing they could do about it...I asked to speak to a manager and was told she wasnt there and that she would not be in until tomorrow at 10am...they did not offer to make new ones...they did not offer to refund my money...I had to through everything away...I will never recommend this place and I will never go there again...sorry to say this is the worse ice cream place to go to...I am...

This is one of my favorite spots for an afternoon treat. The cookies are baked fresh every day, and they have a bunch of unique ice cream flavors. It tends to be much better in the summer though, because they do more business and are therefore baking the cookies much ore often. In the winter you have to cross your fingers, because sometimes the cookies aren't as fresh, satisfying or soft. My only other complaint is that the hours aren't long enough if you're a late-night snacker like me! 9PM just seems a bit early for a dessert place...
