Was walking through the property because we saw a good view of fireworks on the 4th of July and got racially stereotyped by "unarmed" security. He told us we didn't belong and we said ok we were just watching fireworks and he started screaming and harassing us as we were trying to leave. He's in a car we are on foot. We are telling him we are walking as fast as possible and he is steady screaming and acting as if we are not walking off the property.. (I'm disabled, I can only walk so fast. I informed him of this and I'm obviously walking with a stick and limping) Thank God he didn't shoot us when my brother pulled out his camera because the security started screaming "oh I have a gun too!!" I told the office and she basically said we were trespassing but she'll talk to him. The Front Desk employee says he's not supposed to have a gun. Long story short We left right when he said to. we were not arguing about it we said ok. We said we didn't see any signs but he followed us yelling. none of this was necessary. I went to the office the next morning and asked for information regarding security, management told me he was a private contractor and couldn't give any information. Protecting him and his actions. When I said this is not right she seemed annoyed that I wasn't satisfied with her having a conversation with this guy after he tried to shoot us. Imagine thinking you would die just for walking in the wrong place. My video is very blurry but if I can get it enhanced I'll post a video of him. It's embarrassing being treated like a criminal and worse when you can't do anything to stop a situation because I can't run or even move fast we just had to be yelled at and threatened the whole way off the property... If the property can review their cameras they can see that we were walking away and my brother even had his hands up at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYou know I try to help people in need, ones that I think could have it a little worst for wear. Like the family that live by me, 2 active children, a mom and a dad, I can tell hard times hit them, so Iām having a homeless guy who changed my oil the other day, I am happy with what he did.. the parents are so grateful for every little thing I do for them. The homeless guy, I gave him more than what he asked for, just trying to make things a little better for him. Told him Iād find him jobs as people would ask, got his phone number. The next day he thought I had a job for him right away. Explain it to him again, so I asked him by any change was he disabled, I did listen for quite a while how badly his body has been beat up by working construction. š§ the light went on, Idea š” I got him all the information he would need to sign up for disability, address to a place that helps people, he would be a lot better off than just keep doing what his doing, gave him $10.00 so heād had two days worth of 24 hour passes. But when I said he could go down there tomorrow and get signed up.. he told me, thatās not happening tomorrow, then he asked for more money, thatās happened twice, and Iām on SSI anyway, not a rich women for sure. Sad to say, he does this job tomorrow looking at and maybe fixing my little familyās van. š I told him thatās all the jobs I have for him, and when he gets paid tomorrow for the job.. I wonāt do anything for him, until his done something for himself.. First!!! Two things Iāve learned in life.. you canāt help someone who wonāt help themselves.. anything I was think about with another person and his wife.. well ya canāt fix stupid either. Oh life, you can only did what you can do, the rest is up to them, and God! Iām sure grateful for my blessings. And Iāve never even read the Bible either, but I do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe male employee performing the check-in was rude and condescending and acted though I was an inconvenience and that he was doing me a favor to check me in there. It was reaching the end if business day and I wanted to get 3 or4 days to park my RV until my Resort Reservation was available otherwise I would have left. The check-in was more of a brutish interegation than a customer business transaction. The sign posted States one amount but once you give all of your information you are advised if a rate increase. Though there were several vacancies the person assigned a space to me that turned out to be next to an apparently permanent resident where there were none dilapidated vehicles parked in the space. When I inquired about a corner space after being assigned a space at check in the person stated that their weren't any. I discovered that there were several. I inquired as to the rate increase with the manager the next day and she shared that same lack if Customer service attitude as though to answer questions were beneath her. There is also a deposit to get keys for the laundry, pool and restrooms. Thankfully I didn't need to use any of the facilities. This place in directly on a main through way and apparently must have issues with people walking in off the street. The parking lot Security Male was very pleasant and friendly. He made it a point to greet with a smile as he patrolled the lot driving through nightly. The place looks like a parking lot. It's good for a couple of over night stays if you have no other options. I was wishing that I'd come across Kings Row down the road for that 3 or 4 nights. They were very reasonably priced and very pleasant and courteous...
