This location is always neat and clean. Aldi products (i.e. the brands they normally sell) are usually delicious and of high quality. I think they stopped selling foods with artificial color and trans fat, or something to that effect, you can look it up. Their canned solid white tuna is better than any other brand I have tasted.
Also, they sell some pretty nice home/kitchen/bathroom items. They had a good deal on a charcoal barrel type grill over the summer (I think $70).
Their Winking Owl brand of wine is the only brand under $3 (?!?!?!) that I find drinkable, and, it's actually a decent wine to wash down some Chinese and pizza with (the Merlot is my favorite but the cab and Shiraz are not bad either). I will usually buy three bottles for a two week period and not even spend $10. They have a large variety of other brands for less than $10 a bottle. They have a nice selection of beers as well at some savings.
They sell almond milk for $1.99 and have apparently forced Walmart to come down from the close to $3 they were charging. Their chocolates are absolutely delicious...I am not a chocolate person but when I go I must get the plain dark chocolate bar, it melts in your mouth and is the creamiest mass produced dark chocolate I have ever tasted. It is a large size and less than $2.
They do sell big packages of Splenda and Stevia here for less than $4, I have not seen similar size packages anywhere else for less than $6. Coconut oil, avocado oil, olive oil, mineral water similar to Pellegrino, spices, breads, meats, cheese, produce, coffee, pasta, sauces, detergents...everything. You can get four mini heads of artesenal lettuce for $1.99, at Ingles the same package/brand costs you $4.
I guess you can tell, I like...
Read moreToday I went into Aldi's and picked up Argentine shrimp that were in obvious the wrong place a whole box. They were priced at 6.99 when I got to the register. They rang up 9.99. The mgr. (Daniel) On Duty refused to honor price although they were in wrong place. And he belittled me as customer because they were on bottom shelf and I told him how was I suppose to see it was a different shrimp than the whole box of them they had placed there..He said you could read it . I told him the writing was small and I was just looking at price under the shrimp. How were we as customer supposed to see that. He said "how could you see the price?" In smart sarcastic tone. There was no comparison since(#) they were in big bold letters. Shane , Daniel told me he didn't have time to babysit the customer. I know everyone needs a job but this mgr needs sensitivity training. He has worst customer service I ever dealt with at your store. Frequent customer with lots...
Read moreI came here to pick up my grocery order, and the app wasn’t working for me to let them know I was there. I eventually went inside and asked one of the cashiers for help. He was extremely rude to me in his response. He told me their system was down and nothing came in today. I let him know the order was placed the day before, because I didn’t know whether or not it would make a difference. He looked at me and said “what I’m saying is our system is down and there’s nothing I can do about it until I get off the register.” I was so taken aback that I just walked away. I should have gotten his name but he was the older bald guy. I’ve never had someone in customer service be so abrasive in their tone towards me. I’m understanding of the fact that things happen. I wasn’t even upset that my order wasn’t ready, I was upset because of the way this guy spoke to me when I was just trying to figure out how I could get...
