Was not busy. Only one other family in there on a Friday afternoon. We sat ourselves. We ordered a calzone ring 4 meat 4 cheese, kids ravioli and a chicken alfredo penne with a salad bar. 20 min go but... No food. No refills. Haven't even been checked on. Finally 30 minutes after ordering my husband's calzone comes out, it's got almost no cheese and is full of beef with almost no pepperoni or sasuage and there was no bacon at all .. was supposed to be 4 meat 4 cheese.. nope. Few minutes later my son's food comes out. Didn't know kids ravioli was fried. It's not advertised on the menu that way. It's over cooked, hard as a rock and cold. He wouldn't even touch it. Another waitress sits 2 tables away with her food. My waitress hasn't come back to the table. 45 minutes after ordering I still hadn't received my food. My husband a done at this point. My son is having a fit because he can't eat his food and is hungry. I get up to get yet another plate from the salad bar and they two waitresses upfront are saying something along the line of "I cant believe she is eating that order...".. SHE WAS EATING MY ORDER. on her lunch. I walked back to my table and told my husband I wanted to go. He said okay. Then finally 55 minutes after ordering my waitress shows up with my food.. saying she doesn't know what happened or why it took so long, no apology nothing. She then sat a 350° plate straight out of the oven DIRECTLY infront of my one year old son. He touched it! He starts screaming because he's burned his fingers. The waitress acknowledges that he's screaming and I'm putting ice on his hand and she walked off!!!! No apology no offer for help. Nothing. I take my son to the front and she's ringing up my total. Tells my husband that they didn't charge us for my food or my son's food... I was livid and obviously so. My son's still crying at this point and she ignores my request for the manager completely. Takes my husband's card runs it hands it back with a receipt and walks off to the back. I will not be back. I have loved this place for years but I cannot and will not tolerate pure disrespect and disregard to customer service. I will not send any of my friends, family or even my worst enemies to...
Read moreIt’s all according to who is waiting on you we went up there me and a couple friends and when we did one of the guys ordered a pizza with just pepperoni and cheese, just a personal pan pizza and he wanted extra pepperoni. The girls said well you know you have to pay extra he said that’s not a problem she brought it out. Didn’t have extra pepperoni on it and ask her you know about it and she said well we’ll remake it and he said OK and then she come back out there said well we can just put pepperoni on on the top of it. He said no I would rather you remake it then she brought pepperoni out there on a plate, that said you can put it on the pizza yourself and he said no I would like you to remake it so she took it back to the back and they put it on the pepper pig in the oven with that pepperoni on it and ran it through real fast and he did it up and they brought it out to him and I told him to get the manager and luckily the manager is a very very good lady and she wants to make sure her customers are treated right and wants to make sure that they’re happy so she came over there and she even copped his pizza for we had already ate our pizza Ed finished our food before he ever even got his food and he was very upset and when she talk to him he told him she said you know I’m sorry and everything and I told him I said normally it’s not that way. I said they don’t know how to do this I said you’re not the manager someone that normally runs the shift on dayshift she’s the waitress her and one other one. I said they’re both very good I said, but this one wasn’t...
Read moreThe pizza and bread sticks were absolutely delicious, and I found the service to be above average. However, there were a couple of areas that could use improvement.
Let's start with the positives. The pizza at was flavorful, well-made, and definitely hit the spot. The bread sticks were also a standout; they were fresh, perfectly baked, and served with a tasty dipping sauce. I was pleased with the quality of the food.
In terms of service, the staff was generally attentive and friendly. They promptly took our orders and made sure we had everything we needed. Although the service wasn't exceptional, it was satisfactory and didn't detract from the overall experience.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the salad bar. I found it to be underwhelming. Some of the ingredients didn't taste fresh, which was disappointing. It would be great if Mazzio's could improve the quality and variety of the salad bar offerings to match the standard set by their pizza and bread sticks.
Another area that needs attention is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. During my visit, I noticed that the bathrooms were quite dirty, with black crust behind the toilets. It's essential for any establishment to maintain clean facilities, as it reflects on their overall hygiene standards.
Please note that this review reflects my personal experience and opinions during my visit. With a few adjustments, Mazzio's could elevate the dining experience and deliver an even better...
