Iām going to be completely honest. At first glance this restaurant didnāt LOOK like much. But oh my GODD was I wrong!! This is damn near some of the best Mexican food, Iāve had in years. What makes this place stand out is besides the GREAT food, the staff was friendly and attentive and the place was clean and the food came out pretty quickly! We came to eat today on a Sunday at around 1ish and I was pretty surprised to see the parking lot mostly empty and the restaurant is pretty plain looking (from the outside) so I didnāt have high hopes initially coming in. But Iāve never been happy to be so wrong! Me and my husband ordered the fajitas campechanas, which has (carnitas, chicken, shrimp, steak, grilled onions/peppers and some rice beans and salad and such) and he got an agua de Jamaica and I got a strawberry marg. The food came hot, well seasoned and all the food was tender fresh and so good!!!! The strawberry marg was also pretty good!! It was nice and strong but a tad bit too sweet for my liking. The agua de Jamaica was genuinely great as well!! All in all I WILL be coming here again, Iāve never been a huge fan of getting Mexican food mostly because being Mexican, I figure I can make it better at home and most Mexican restaurants fall short to my expectations m. But THIS this place has reminded me that there ARE good Mexican places out there. Iāve been living here for over 20 years and this is some of the best Mexican food Iāve had in Georgia. Will come again!! I couldnāt recommend it more, I seriously hope more people come here because now Iām confused as to why it was so slow!!! Iāve got NO NOTES!! If you want GREAT FOOD,GREAT PORTIONS, and GREAT...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe place is old and dark, and the building didnāt get updates needed to make it feel new and fresh. The food is very inconsistent, and we had varying quality each time we tried to eat here. One example from our last visit was that the salsa has large chunks of unblended onion in it, and it mostly tasted like canned tomato sauce. My shrimp dish was bland, and the components didnāt make sense together. My wifeās veggie quesadilla didnāt have any cheese, and the tortilla was soggy from too much oil. While the service is good, the owner might have bitten off more than they can chew. If the menu was smaller and more focused, this could be more successful, but that would take some serious work. I will say that the fried fish that I had on our first visit was fantastic; it was fried and seasoned very well. I hope this restaurant can turn itself around because it has a lot...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI almost don't want to leave a good review because I am afraid El Patio is going to get too busy. Sure, there are a few Mexican restaurants around, but that doesn't mean they are good. El Patio truly hits it out of the park on their meals flavor. Service is great and it is cool and comfortable. They have that AC cranking and that makes it perfect for a Tequila drink and hot sauce on my burrito. So, I can't lie El Patio is good and relatively new but already seriously outclassing a lot of...
