I've had the pleasure of dining at Speedy Burrito Winder on multiple occasions, and it's become my go-to spot for a satisfying Mexican meal. Here's what you can expect when you visit:
Pros:
Authentic Flavors: The food at Speedy Burrito Winder is a delightful explosion of authentic Mexican flavors. From their burritos to their tacos, everything I've tried has tasted like a delicious journey south of the border.
Spice Options: For those who enjoy a little heat in their meals, Speedy Burrito Winder offers customers optional hot sauces. The red hot sauce packs a punch, making it perfect for spice enthusiasts, while the green hot sauce offers a milder, flavorful option.
Convenient Service: Even during busy times, the staff goes the extra mile to provide excellent service. They'll come out to your car to collect your order, though you might still have to wait in line briefly. This small touch makes a big difference in ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience.
Go-To Mexican Spot: When I'm craving Mexican cuisine, Speedy Burrito Winder is where I head. The consistently great food keeps me coming back time and again.
Cons:
Gas Station Location: One minor drawback is the restaurant's proximity to a busy gas station. It can make the surroundings feel a bit chaotic, but don't let that deter you from the culinary gems inside.
Smaller Portions: Lately, I've noticed that the portion sizes have become slightly smaller. While this might be due to economic factors, it's still a bit disappointing. However, the quality of the food makes up for it.
Drive-Through Lines: The drive-through can get quite busy, leading to long lines that sometimes block one of the entrance/exit points in the parking lot. Patience is key during peak hours.
Nachos Could Be Better: While the meals are generally delicious, the included nachos don't quite hit the mark. They could benefit from a dip or sauce to enhance their flavor. It might be worth asking if a dip is available.
In conclusion, Speedy Burrito Winder offers an authentic Mexican dining experience with flavorful dishes and a touch of spice. Despite a few minor drawbacks like location and portion sizes, it remains a top choice for Mexican cuisine enthusiasts. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait during busy times, and you'll be rewarded with a satisfying meal that...
Read moreWe have enjoyed the super veggie nachos so much and have visited the restaurant, both locations many times. So much so, that when I visited there today, I decided to get more food to surprise and introduce the restaurant to my friend's family. Admittedly, it was awkward trying to read the menu quickly because it was a last minute thought, "bring home some samples". As quickly as I could, I just picked a few different type of tacos and quesadillas with beans and rice. They love it exclaiming "muy bueno" and very gracious. If I had been more familiar with the menu, I would have ordered more.
So, the reason for my rating. Once I placed the order, I wanted to bring them some of the salsa and pico de gallo. Usually on our small orders I just use the small containers and works fine. Since I wanted to put the food on plates, and set it up nice for them, I thought it would be helpful to get the larger containers, like the queso comes in and requested such. Well, there was discussion amongst the employees and one of the ladies walked over to a man sitting and a table presented my order and I guess confirmed it would be ok to provide the requested sides. Now I am not sure exactly what the conversation was, I just surmise that because she came and asked me how many I needed. Conservingly, I requested two containers and the pouch for the jalapenos. Having witness this, I felt somewhat compelled to thank her and when the man walked past me, I thanked him. Nothing to it, but the lady looked at me so strangely that I again felt uncomfortable. However, the crazy confirmation was when she loudly called my name for my order, but it wasn't me name per say. I have a very common Spanish name, very common starts with m. I don't know what she said, but hunny, I have been called worse and if my trying to get some food from your establishment and I can't feel comfortable, then I'll go elsewhere. Besides that, perceived incident...I even think they changed the music to a different genre, maybe they thought I would like it better. This is my opinion of my experience. They have good food and usually I have no issues, I mean this was one of the first dates I went on with my boyfriend who at the time...
Read moreThe food at both locations is really good. However I’ve experienced terrible customer service at both. I decided to go to the wonder Location and I ordered a super nachos. The cashier let me know that she doesn’t speak English well which is fine because English is also not my first language, so I tried my best to explain to her what I wanted in a way that she would Understand. my order was wrong once I received it, and when I went back to the register to have it fixed, I was met with an attitude by another cashier. She kept talking over me and explaining to me that even though what I ordered was wrong because the first cashier didn’t understand me, I would still have to pay extra to right the wrong that they made. As a customer, I shouldn’t have to pay for The shortcomings of employees. Again, I am the child of immigrants, so I understand English is not an easy language to learn. However, I shouldn’t have to pay for the fact that you don’t understand what I’m saying, especially when I tried my best to get you to Understand. And then to be met with a rude attitude after you got my order wrong was...
