This store has the worst customer service. I ordered a stove that was on sale 4 weeks ago. They were scheduled to deliver it 3 weeks ago. The driver called me and said they could not find the house. Turns out the associate that took my order put in the wrong city.
We then corrected the address and scheduled the delivery for the following day. That delivery date goes by and nothing comes. They apologize and reschedule for Friday. Not a word on friday, so I call the store and they said it was not scheduled to send because the address was never updated.
I then talked to Yovana for an hour trying to get this rescheduled with no luck. After 3 hours I get a call back from the manager Mike who tells me the order will go out next week. I just needed to call Monday and give a date and time that worked.
It is now Monday and I called the store and had to do the same run around for the last 1.5hours since nobody working today was aware of the issue. They finally transfer me to Mark Miller, who is apparently the manager who I then repeat the whole issue to.
He is now telling me they cannot deliver to my house and that I need to cancel the order and place it online, however they cannot honor the sale price from when I purchased the item in the store. ($400 savings)
I ordered a patio set and fire pit a few weeks ago and they delivered it with no issue.
1 star, i would do 0 if I could. The in store associates were not friendly or helpful (perhaps not even literate since she failed to copy the address from my drivers license to my order) . The post purchase customer service has been terrible. Extremely long wait times on the phone. I would avoid shopping here and try and support, lowes, Ace, or any other location.
Update: As if this situation could not get any worse it did. Yovanna and Mark charged me for another stove and scheduled an in-store transfer to the Ukiah store. When this order arrived in Ukiah they said the order was unpaid (incorrect, I have been charge 3 times) and they immediately sent it back to the windsor location. They cannot schedukle delivery for another week back to Ukiah where they will need to schedule another delivery.
We are 6 weeks from the orginal failed drop off attempt and I have spent 11 hours on the phone with HomeDepot support.
This is a sad excuse for customer experience and a new level of low for human capability. Jay Martinez, the store manager is impossible to get ahold of and corporate has not replied to any emails.
I am now out 6k from AirBNB bookings I have had to cancel and I have been charge $3,400 for 3 stoves and have not received anything...
Read moreI have been disappointed more than a handful of times shopping w/ home depot but this straw broke the camels back. I visited the Windsor, CA store the evening of Friday 12/6. My intention was to purchase Christmas decorations including Christmas lights. There was only one display including about (15) individual boxes of white wire 150ct Christmas lights. Displayed as $2.97 per box. When I was checking out the Christmas lights rang up at $8.89 per box. I brought the price discrepancy to the attendant Becca and she shrugged her shoulders and said it's wasnt her department. I let her know the improperly priced items were sitting behind the $2.97 price tag. Then asked if she would consider a price match, she didn't answer me but got on the phone spoke to someone for 2 minutes then told me if I wanted the advertised price I would have to talk to the person in charge of the department. I walked back to the seasonal/garden section and tried to speak to Rhonda. She was incredibly rude, dismissive and curt from the start demanding I tell her where I believed I found the boxes. When I showed her the shelf of lights mislabeled she pointed out the smallest print on the label and told me the box was the wrong one. I acknowledged her, then asked her to acknowledge that the display was mislabeled/misplaced and if she would consider a price match. She told me it's not her fault and before I could say anything else she made a spectacle of trying to rip the label off the metal shelf and told me she had customers to get back to. I recently bought a home in the Windsor area, there are times I have been disappointed or surprised by the lack of customer service I have received at Home Depot. However, after this last experience thanks to the inconsiderate & unprofessional demeanor, not to mention the blatant lack of pride in customer service I will drive past 2 Home Depot's to get what I need for my new home at Friedman's... You can thank Becca in checkout & Rhonda in Season/Garden for the loss of a family of customers....
Read moreWhat Happened?! This store has always been my favorite THD. Shopped here for years. Very clean, organized well and great people. I feel I need to share my most recent experience. I needed a sample of paint. I grabbed a color swatch from a different store from the previous weekend. Since we are all dealing the Covid-19 pandemic, I figured I would call in the sample and pick it up on my way to work. On the back of the swatch it states you can order paint online so ordering a sample for pickup should be a breeze. I called and got right through to the Paint Dept. I could tell immediately that the young lady on the phone did not want to take my call. Her customer service was terrible. She told me that I had to order the sample at the store and that under no circumstances, would she take my order over the phone. I show up to the store on my way to work and go directly to the Paint Dept. I am the only person there. No department employee anywhere in site. So, I wait for 5 minutes. Still no one. I walk down a nearby aisle to find 3 employees talking amongst each other. I ask them if I could get some help with paint and they said they already paged for someone to come. I waited another 5-6 minutes before a young lady arrives. I asked her if she remembers me calling her this morning about a Sample and she replies, "I don't know." I highly doubt that she had taken so many phone calls in the last 30 minutes that she doesn't recall our conversation. I mentioned to her that I was in a hurry and didn't appreciate waiting for so long. No sorry or empathy. Just attitude. This is probably the first time I ever voiced my displeasure with service before, especially at a Home Depot employee. In my job, I speak to people everyday at THD Pro Desk and they are almost always pleasant and seeking my help. (I'm a vendor for THD). I get it, people have bad days.....but show me you care just a little. I'm a freaking customer. Very dissapointed with the service at this store. That paint department employee...
