A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Windsor

I was very impressed with this location for a couple of reasons. First, when we got our drinks I unloaded the tray and left one drink in the tray. I went to move the tray and I dumped a soda completely upside down in between my lap and the center console. We all expected the lid to pop off and create a mess everywhere, but it was securely on and there was only a single drop of liquid that spilled out! Secondly, I tried to order something that I found online, but they did not sell it in the Restaurant. The person taking my order suggested an alternative that sounded delicious so I went with it. It had two patties. I ordered it without a bun and when we got our food I thought they had forgotten it because I was expecting it in a box with a fork and knife. Turns out they took the two patties and put all of the toppings in the middle and wrapped it up like a burger. It was so simple, but had never had one made like this before. Food was ehhh. Ordered in the drive thru and asked for cheese curds. We get told very rudely that they were out. And then we proceeded to order what we wanted. Once we got up to the window the pay I literally watched the employee texting on her phone and did not greet us or anything. I then watched her walk away from the window (still didn’t acknowledge us) and talk with her coworkers. Our bag of food was already sitting on the counter and she still walked away. She then got back on her phone and I literally had to ask for my food. Finally we left just to get Home to find out they didn’t give us what we ordered. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger and my boyfriend ordered the regular bacon cheeseburger... nope we got home and they were both the regular bacon ones. It’s just annoying to get horrible customer service and they thought it was ok to chit chat and everything but yet they get people’s orders wrong.......

We decided to dine in with the kids, we had to wait for something at Home Depot. Every table was greasy/dirty. We had to clean our own table before sitting down. Vinyl seats were sticky. We placed our order and it took a looong time for an order off cheese curds & 2 chicken little sandwiches.... not including the mini corn dogs that took even longer & they forgot to put on an additional order that we had to place again & wait again for. Customers were irritated and one man was demanding a manager. The girl at the counter was very confused who got what (drive thru vs dine in orders), food production was behind. I had worked in a restaurant for many years and know how it can be when you're slammed, but they weren't slammed. I don't know if this is part of the general worker shortage, but was sad to witness. Nothing anyone can do about it... if a manager was there they couldn't helped...
