University Inn & Suites — Hotel in Winston-Salem

I wanted to write and make a complaint, I am very upset at the way the visit and stay were with your Hotel, the staff were not very kind, the service was incredibly awful, I checked in, paid for a full week, in cahs as they said was the way I had to do it, The room, was not fully vacuumed, or they just did a really bad job The toilet would flush correctly off and on, we had to keep pouring Ice buckets of water (5-6 per flush) The Micro wave was not clean, Spider webs from corner to corner on the ceiling, the refrigerator was not clean There were Two towels, two wash clothes and a floor mat 1 and a half rolls of toilet paper, we asked each day for clean towels and other, as we returned the used, either to the person when they would come to the room or to the blue laundry tote at the office, In a weeks time, we had 5 towels and 1 roll of toilet paper given, with much attitude, (there were 4 people in this room We went out and bought towels and toilet paper to make our stay a little easier,, A child threw up in the pool, we told staff member and nothing was done, they went up to look and walked away. they put us in a room, lower level, on one side was a family living there with 8 people (two being children) and they had the children running till 3 - 4 am outside, screaming with a puppy, a room on the other side with workers, approx 7 (not a prob) another room with a woman that had 5 kids running at all hours, we were told they lived there. there was a whole hotel they could have put us in, but put us in the lower level I paid in full for a week, 275.24 for a room, peace, quiet and services which none had gotten, Breakfast was another issue, as when we would get there in time, there was nothing left, they had people in there loading their backpacks with all the food, I had to spend 45 each morning to take myself and the others in my room out to eat, we had to keep going back to the office to have the keys redone, as they kept not working When I would at least go and try to speak to the staff in office or the only one that would show up on the walkway, I would get disgusted sighs, eye rolls and such, as though I was a bother, I did NOT in any way bother, I kindly asked and got nowhere, there was only one kind young man at the desk, but, nothing he really could do Not sure how you handle this, if it will be acknowledged at all, But, in some way, I would hope to be compensated somehow for the lack or services and actions of the staff, there was trash littered all over from our door into the parking lot from the "neighboring" tenants. I came to North Carolina in hopes that full week of finding a home to move to, from the home I have here in Pa and, this just made it all the more harder, as I had to spend a few hundred...

Does not deserve the one star that I unfortunately had to click to give it a review at all. Absolutely the filthiest and most bug-infested and run down shhhtt hole I have ever had the discomfort of staying in. And I will absolutely never do it again. Full of bugs and the carpet has clearly not been vacuum for a very very long time. Management treated me and like I was some kind of scumbag for complaining... I thereafter realized that 99% of their residents were smoking crack in the hallways at night. Because I smelled it in my room and all the way down the hallway as I walk through the building. They also did not seem to care about that either, like it was normal. Do not stay here. It took about five showers to wash the filth off of me. The customer service isn't any better than the quality. New manager and other employees are very rude... They were probably smoking crack with the residents last night. I would have left immediately after smelling the drugs but simply put my stuff in the room and ran to get something to eat. When I returned I made a complaint and was basically brushed off because they simply didn't care. I was however told that you're only allowed to complain about the room to be moved to a new room or get a refund within the first 15 minutes of checking in which was not stated in any paperwork that I signed. I hope the people that work there and treated me that way go home to their own houses and live in the same shity...

Arrive went top of hill to our room. Walked in Building look like someone had a party out in the lobby area. Big boxes of Beer cases and trash everywhere the lobby smelled like urine. We tried out key to get in room didnt work. My boyfriend drove back down to office she said she would reset it. That didnt work. We called back to office took them 10 to anwer phone cause clerk was standing out side smoking. When she did answer phone said she would send someone. The person she sent was not in uniform looked like homeless man off street no offense not judging. He had to take key back to office an get it reset again. Got in room smelled clean and fresh but then the shower. It had black mold all in the tub like it had not been cleaned we was told that it was the only room when we got there available, we didnt notice tub till next morn when we got ready to get in it. We took pics of the tub showed the clerk at checkout was given a card to call Manager back she have a fake email address on card been calling she is never there. We are looking for a refund cause we were in a room right at door heard ice machine all night and next morning at 4am workers leaving to go to work gathered at ice machine to talk woke us up horrible will NEVER STAY AGAIN.
