I purchased a large curio cabinet from this location. The cabinet was a floor model with a clearance price tag of a little over 2 grand. Our sales woman was all about making a sale! Promises were made and we were told if we needed anything at all to call her. Baer’s policy on a floor model is …….they do not repair/fix/replace anything that is already damaged on the floor models, however the sales woman assured me if the delivery people broke some thing they would repair/replace the damage. We looked the cabinet over closely and it was in pristine condition, so we purchased it. On the day of delivery the team that brought it into our home evidently pushed in one of the glass inserts on the side panel. One of the pegs that held a glass shelf was missing so one shelf could not be placed inside the cabinet. The delivery crew did NOT level the cabinet at the base which caused the cabinet to precariously lean forward. With a weight of almost 300 pounds I was scared to open the doors or walk in front of it. I tried calling our sales person and left a couple of messages on her cell phone. She did NOT return my calls. I also called the store and left a message. I’m persistent and called daily until I could catch her at work and eventually I managed to speak directly to her. She said that she would get a cabinet guy out to fix the problems and have the customer service center call me. The customer service center finally called and said they would deliver the missing peg and have the delivery people put in the last glass shelf. I complained about the side glass insert being pushed out and the cabinet tipping forward and that I was really apprehensive about getting near the cabinet. The second crew arrived from Pompano Beach (Main guy was named Will and he was amazing!!!) this crew was absolutely wonderful. They pushed back in the glass side insert and re-attached the strip holding it in. They also adjusted the door because it wouldn’t stay closed properly, they brought a peg and put my shelves back in. They also fixed the tipping forward of the cabinet. The first set of delivery people did not adjust the adjusters at the base so that the cabinet would set level. They also found a lot of screws and loose pieces that had fallen down under the two pull out drawers on the base. The back cabinet braces had only been attached with one screw on each brace from the original delivery crew! Tipping forward cabinet with faulty installed braces added to a definite safety hazard!! This team added more screws to the braces and leveled the cabinet with the tools that were also found loose under the cabinet drawers. This cabinet is now in perfect condition and I love it!! The second crew that came out from Pompano Beach were amazing. The first crew left me with a cabinet that actually was dangerous to be around in my home! Kudos to the second crew that fixed everything that the first crew overlooked!! This cabinet is gorgeous. It’s a wonderful piece of furniture, and I am thrilled with it now! Would I do business with their store again? More than likely yes, but I would not use the same sales person! She did not care whether I was happy or not after she made her sale!! I would also insist on a different delivery crew. They do have some beautiful pieces, but I’ll make sure the next time I do not buy a floor model. Thankfully, we got a crew that cared enough to go above and beyond what the customer service center sent them to do! The original delivery crew needs to be retrained evidently. Read moreI had a bad experience with this company. They sold me a Bernhardt couch that I had holding with them until my house was built 5 months later. I only put down the required percentage to hold the items of furniture and paid the balance 5 months later. During that time, the couch sold out in inventory and Baers decided not to tell me. They sent me the display model without giving me a choice, as is their policy to inform the buyer so the buyer can choose, and about 4 months later I started to hear noises (creaking on both corners). I thought, maybe this is just normal, but it started to get worse. I found it strange that when the couch came off the truck delivery day, it was not wrapped or in plastic like the bedroom set delivered or other items in the truck. It was just placed in the truck and only God knows what may have happened to it during transport with other items of furniture. The repair service has come twice for the issue that somewhat improved, and I have made several complaints to Baers that have gone ignored. My family has done extensive business with Baers and we have decided to stop after this incident and lack of care from the company. The other items I purchased are in good condition, as I would expect from Baers because of the quality they sell to the public. However, the way this was handled has left me feeling like the company does not even honor their one-year warranty. This is deceptive and poor treatment of their customers. I will definitely take my business elsewhere, as I still have more furniture to buy. I guess they feel that I should just live with the noise from the "brand new" couch they sold me. My sales representative Kelly was nice and professional, however Mark Metcalf, the manager, won't respond to emails or take calls. I've reported to customer service and several representatives say they understand and that they will get back to me and have not done anything or responded. The customer service also confirmed I was given the last couch in stock. Business should always be conducted with integrity, and it is...
Read moreBaer’s Furniture showroom truly exceeded my expectations from the moment I walked through the doors. The store was exceptionally clean, bright, and well-maintained, which immediately made the shopping experience feel comfortable and enjoyable. The layout of the showroom was thoughtfully designed, making it easy to browse the wide selection of furniture without feeling overwhelmed. Every section was clearly organized, allowing me to see everything from living room sets to dining tables to bedroom collections in a way that sparked inspiration.
One of the highlights for me was discovering their impressive collection of Stressless brand recliners, chairs, and sofas. I have heard of the brand before but seeing such a large and diverse selection in person really impressed me. I was able to sit in several models and could instantly feel the superior craftsmanship and comfort that Stressless is known for. The staff was very knowledgeable about the brand and took the time to explain the different models, materials, and features without making me feel pressured to make a purchase.
Another thing that stood out to me was how friendly and approachable the entire team at Baer’s was. From the greeter at the front desk to the sales associates on the floor, everyone was professional, courteous, and eager to help. They made the entire process feel relaxed and enjoyable, which is exactly what you want when investing in quality furniture for your home. The store also offers convenient operating hours, which made it easy for me to stop by after a busy day and take my time browsing.
Overall, I highly recommend Baer’s Furniture to anyone looking for a top-notch showroom experience. Whether you are in the market for a single piece or furnishing an entire home, Baer’s offers a fantastic selection, exceptional customer service, and a clean and inviting showroom that makes the whole process feel seamless.
