Our stay at Home2 Suites in Winter Garden was everything we needed and more! We came to the area for a family wedding and had booked over a month ahead of time. The weekend prior to our trip, one of our dogs needed emergency medical care and that meant we were then unable to board him like we had planned. I was SO relieved to find out that they are a pet friendly facility, and so we were able to bring him with us and not have to change hotels. |The room was spotless, spacious, extra pillows provided on each bed, comfortable mattresses, plenty of counter and cabinet space to put our belongings, multiple outlets for USB and phone cords, a full kitchen including dishes and utensils (you can request a stove top to cook - we didn't need, but it was sure nice to know it was available if we did!), a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. |The bathroom has a spacious shower and what impressed us was that we were provided with plenty of towels and always had enough for the three of us. What set it over the top was finding toiletries were included - soap and lotion at the sink and shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the shower. |Having breakfast included is what set our stay over the top and made our room rate worth every penny. We would have paid so much more to even get fast food! The food was always fresh and hot and hit the spot for each of us every morning. |Lastly, having the dog park onsite was helpful for having our dog with us and gave him an area to walk around and do his business without worrying about his safety.|The staff onsite was always helpful and friendly too, but we honestly did not need them that much because we had what we needed already! We've said that from now on when we travel, we are going to look for Home2 Suites first, because they met every single need we had, at a...
Read moreI stayed here for 5 nights and booked a reservation last minute for originally 3 nights. The staff here was incredibly accommodating to my family and I as we booked multiple rooms and ended up needing to extend our stay daily due to the bad news we were dealing with. They moved all of our rooms to the same floor and accommodated a few last minute bookings as well. This location was conveniently located by the family we were visiting and not far from the parks. The Miller's ale house near by was opened late and great if you get in late. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby just weird that most things in orlando close at 8pm. We stayed there opening week so the hotel was very clean, lobby, and the outside area was great to lounge in. Since we were with family we ended up picking up dinner and eating together down there. Also worked remotely from the lobby as well without issue, it can be a bit loud but was my only option due to family in my room. The pool had some issues but it was opening week so there were a few missing things as can be understood. 7eleven was within walking distance and tons of restaurants nearby less than half a mile away. Coffee in the lobby was always great and strong. Breakfast was alright. The food warmers seemed too hot, all of the eggs and sandwiches were pretty hard by the time we went to eat them and some of the milk was spoiled. Wished they offered pancakes and waffles instead of just waffles. Also wished it wasn't whole wheat. But overall not bad. Very grateful to the staff being accomodating to me and my family who booked 5...
Read moreI would like to start out with it is a very nice hotel don’t get me wrong, the beds were nice, breakfast was pretty good, the room was clean. I was staying here with a FEMA voucher. To start off with, when i first checked in, the girl working at the front was very rude, and was trying to tell me i couldn’t bring my dogs, and secondly i booked a king size suite. But when i checked in they gave me a standard double queen room, which wasn’t the worst but with 2 kids 2 dogs and me and my boyfriend the bigger room would have been more ideal as for space. But not the end of the world, this hotel was very convenient for me as my job was right down the street. It was coming closer to the original date i put to check out, and i was going to extend the room because i hadn’t found a new place to live yet, well when i called down to the front desk to do so, they said they couldn’t take any new reservations because their contract with FEMA ended, which i was trying to explain it wouldn’t be a new reservation as I’ve been staying here the past 3 weeks, at the end of that they told me i couldn’t stay there anymore past my check out date, no extending. Well then i come to find out someone else staying there also with FEMA, had the same check out date as me, and they offered to extend their room, they said they just weren’t taking new reservations. So I’m not sure why as me and my family weren’t allowed to stay but others were. Very inconvenient. As i have a infant and a toddler, 2 dogs trying to find another hotel and it took me hours that same day to find a hotel...
