You can TRUST this jeweler! We had a painful experience years ago having my engagement ring resized at the "big box" store where it was purchased. When we returned to pick up the ring, the diamond had been switched to one of far less quality (yellow color, multiple black specks easily visible) and the situation got even worse from there. Fast forward to just a few years ago, my husband gave me a beautiful solitaire for Christmas to go with my wedding band. Over time, as it sometimes happens, the rings became too small. Because of the experience we suffered years ago, I would not leave my diamond ring with anyone to have it resized even though that meant not being able to wear it. This past month, I finally got to a place where I was ready to at least start looking for a jeweler to consider having my rings resized. We went to several places and each time we left feeling uncomfortable with the people we spoke with. Our last stop of the day was made because it was close to home and we thought we might as well just try. We are SO GLAD we did!!! We stopped by The Jewelry Connection and met the store owner, Tracy. He spent quite a bit of time talking with us, explaining his process to us, all with no pressure at all... he did this for us before we were even actual customers. Tracy is straightforward, no nonsense and yet still friendly and understanding. All I can tell you is that the feeling we had with Tracy made us comfortable enough to leave my rings with him. We went back on the day they were promised and my rings now fit and the resizing looks flawless. I'm sure the emotions I felt putting my rings on again were visible because my husband and Tracy both started smiling, and I sincerely thank Tracy for that. My engagement ring is a custom vintage ring that was passed down to my husband who gave it to me. It needed sizing, and I went to The Jewelry Connection on a trusted friend’s recommended. Tracy’s service was phenomenal. He took great care with the delicate ring, and made sure everything was in top shape along with the ring sizing. I went back after a decade, when I noticed the main stone was loose (due to daily wear, plus not getting it inspected in over 10 years!). Tracy expertly repaired the ring, making it even better than before! The original setting was not created in the most secure way to begin with, but Tracy masterfully made new, secure prongs without altering the look of the ring. I've purchased a few watches from Tracy for my husband, as well as earrings that had posts that he changed to lever backs. However, the one item I wish I could give him 10 stars on is the ring he designed for my 33rd wedding anniversary. I insisted on keeping my 1/4 ct engagement diamond. He matched it up with another diamond and then put a .50 ct in the center, so it would signify the past, present and future. Then, so I'd always remember when I got my new ring he put 3 channel diamonds on both sides! Last year we went back to him for an anniversary band, which I'm thrilled with.
