My grandmother is terminally ill and is under hospice care. My boyfriend is currently in the Navy and is deployed overseas. He insisted he wanted to send flowers to her to brighten her day. He used an online flower website (FTD, 1-800-Flowers, etc..) and the service cancelled the order. Apparently the specific bouquet he ordered had flowers that were not in stock.

Since he's overseas he put my phone number on the order as the contact number. He paid extra to have the flowers delivered the next day. No one from FTD called me regarding the cancelled order. I spent the entire day with my grandma so I'd be there when she received the flowers.

The day dragged on and there was still no delivery. I panicked and started calling florists affiliated with FTD. I figured Hillside would be the one as we are from Woburn.

The owner of the shop told me that he had the order on his computer screen but it was cancelled by FTD. I was heartbroken as my grandma was waiting for her special surprise.

I ended up driving to Hillside to further explain my situation and they made me a GORGEOUS bouquet with vase FOR FREE. It was filled with gorgeous daisies, carnations, and roses.

I was really taken aback by the kindness and compassion shown to me. I highly recommend this florist and will be using it...

I am the CEO of an organization in Woburn and we have been using Hillside Florist for many years. They have always been 100% reliable and create exquisite designs. I have recently been ordering their "flowers in a bag" which are reasonably priced yet stunning seasonal arrangements sitting in a small plastic container of water at the bottom of a sturdy, attractive bag with handles. I become the hero of heroes when I walk into a restaurant with one of these arrangements in hand to give a colleague at a business lunch or dinner! It is the perfect package in every way: the flowers stay fresh until the recipient can transfer them to their own vase, yet the bag (with the tops of the bouquet visible) make a classy and beautiful (and easily portable!) presentation! A special shout out to Chris who has been such a great contact. Ever helpful, professional and accommodating, Chris reminds me of a style of customer service from some bygone era. In my opinion, Hillside Florist has only improved and evolved over the years and they remain current and fresh in every way. Always an amazing selection, outstanding designs and reasonable prices. I love Hillside Florist! They always make me feel welcome, and have often gone out of their way to accommodate me. On one such occasion, I walked in on the day before a significant flower holiday and asked for something custom. To me, it felt like a lot to ask given the volume they were doing, and how many beautiful premade arrangements they already had to offer. However, this was for a sensitive and important occasion for a loved one. I shared a little about what I was trying to accomplish, and the gentleman immediately connected me with a designer to assist. I showed her a photo and asked for something similar using whatever they had on hand. She whipped up a beautiful arrangement that really did echo the photo! Even though I felt like I was asking a lot, I was not made to feel that way by anyone. I feel so lucky to have this gem of a small business in my community, and I hope folks will continue to support them for years and...
