This restaurant is an interesting concept, as it offers Thai cuisine in a traditional American diner. The owner bought the place about 15 years ago, so it's well-established in the community. They have a very large menu--probably the biggest of any local Thai restaurant I've been to. I found the food flavorful and fresh and the service was very prompt. They have a traditional diner bar that seats about 15 people and around eight tables for two people each. Parking is limited to the street and can be tough to find. They do a lot of takeout business--while I was there, more people came for takeout then to dine in. There is a minimum per person meal charge of you sit, but it isn't hard to meet it with an entree and drink. You won't be able to meet it by only eating one appetizer, for example. Reservations are only available for parties of three or more.

Wow! The food was amazing and was spot on! I would highly recommend this place for pad Thai and must have the mango sticky rice! Moving to a new area we were on the search for a new Thai place. We were seated quickly and service was great. The server was very friendly, attentive, and sweet. My husband and I got Thai ice tea, a veggie soup, two Pad Thai, mango sticky rice. Food came quickly and was so delicious, fresh, and portions were great. Also I was shocked at the price, it was so affordable and worth it. We are happy to say we found our go to Thai place now.

Loved this place. The only Thai diner that I've come across so far. Ordered the shrimp shumai, shrimp in Thai blankets, fish cakes and Thai fried rice and each one of these was something to write home about. The place is a little small, which makes it feel a little cramped, when there are many people around, which is why I took one star out for the atmosphere rating. There's a minimum charge for dining in, which you might want to take a look at before choosing to dine in rather than order out from.

Our visit to Lanna Thai Diner was enjoyable. It just so happens this area is host to many incredible Thai restaurants.

Whenever myself and my partner visit somewhere new, we end up ordering our "baseline" orders to kind of act of a foundation to what the restaurant is like for our favorite dishes.

The positives here is that there was no overindulgence. The food was not overly saucy, salty, or sweet. We both enjoyed the meal, but we agree that there may be better options nearby when it comes to flavor alone.

The host/server was very attentive and made sure to check in on us multiple times to see how things were and if they were to our liking.

I'm not 100% I'd recommend this as my first choice, but it seems to be somewhere where you can rely on...

I just ate there, and my tummy could not be happier! I tried their Crazy Noodles (their version of drunken noodles) and asked for it with Crispy Duck on top. They were willing to do it, and oh sweet lord was it AMAZING. It came out so fast too! Like 8 minutes later I had a steaming plate of fresh basil leaves and the widest noodles I have ever seen... sweet jesus. Amazing place. Entree plates are around $15, my 'special' was $16.50, and it was worth every penny. The only negative I can think of is that it is incredibly small- like the size of a one-person hotel room kind of small. Most people did take-out, but the waitress was amazingly efficient and competent. Loved it. Can't wait to digest so I...
