I really wanted to love it, but I couldn't. We visited at noon on Sunday, and our visit started off with the hostess sitting us at a table covered with crumbs. Instead of wiping the table or seating us at a different one, she took our menus and brushed some crumbs off to the floor and proceeded to seat us at the table still covered in crumbs. The server was very nice, even though we received the wrong appetizer, at the same time our meals arrived, but we didn't want to make a big deal about it. He corrected the issue, and brought us another app which was also incorrect, but we didn't say anything and just kept it. I ordered mashed potatoes as a side along with Texas toast. I thought I would be getting garlic toast, but instead it was two pieces of cold bread spread with a ton of butter that wasn't melted in. It was awful. I can't even explain the mashed potatoes? It was a small cup of white liquid? It was the consistency of a chowder or something similar. They were awful, but not being a bbq expert, I thought maybe that's how they make them. I then saw a photo online of nice mashed potatoes taken at the smokeshop with onions which was what I was expecting. All in all the people were nice and they are new, but I can't go back. It's too expensive to leave hungry, which is what...
Read moreCame here for dinner on Fathers day and they were able to sit us down quickly. Being "from" Texas I honestly wasn't expecting the best texas bbq in the world or anything... The staff and atmosphere was just fine.
Ordered the watermelon wheat for beer and it was pretty good.
Looking over the menu the "sides" confused me. Texas toast is listed as a side at most Texas BBQ places Texas toast is generally just given out for free and as many slices as you want (within reason).
So of course... I was intrigued by some of these sides (wondering if it really was something special), so I ordered the "Half Sour Pickles" with my Burnt Ends Sandwich.
When the order came out the pickles were just sliced pickles like you would get from a condiment section. The burnt ends were ok, I wouldn't say they were bad or anything, but they were over-cooked but the BBQ sauce on them was pretty good. I generally say if you need to add BBQ sauce then you have other problems though...
So generally speaking the sandwich is what I expected, the sides were disappointing because several of them should have just been considered...
Read moreSo I went to the bar and I ordered food to take home. Yes, I ate at this place when I first opened up and the food was very dry so I figured it's been a long time. Let's try it again while I was wrong. Doesn't come with sauce. Just so you know, they charge you super sauce and they give you little little little cups of sauce. The food got us deadly sick. I didn't even want to call up and complaint. How bad all sick we got. My mother-in-law got horribly sick that we had to take her to the hospital. I got c diff from the restaurant. I do not recommend this place. The quality of food is horrible. The service they lie. They should be very honest and tell you nothing comes with sauce and they charge you for the sauce. Be very careful what you eat because you will get sick. This is the second time I ordered from them both or takeout and they were both no good whatever you do just be precautious because everything doesn't come with sauce. It might seem good at first but I will definitely get you sick avoid at all cost. It's not worth it how hungry you are. It's...
