Stay away from this place it is a joke. went in for water jugs it took over 20minutes because i was sent around the store looking for someone to exchange the bottles for the coupons they give you to exchange the 5 gallon water jugs.
normally i have to wait at the solutions center till someone finally comes and helps me. i am used to that do that is what i do.. after waiting the Store Manager comes up and asks if he can help i explain i need to exchange the empty jugs. he looks around clueless and asks an employee where to exchange it. they make the choice to send me to checkout 10 because that cashier can help ok cool. so i go and wait in line at check out 10. i get up there and explain that the manager sent me here to exchange the jugs. she get frustrated and tells me to go get the new ones. so i do and come back in line.
she then proceeds to berate me and tell me i doing this wrong and that she will help me this time but next time “you better do it right.” so i try to explain i am just doing what the manager told me to do.. she continues to tell me i screwed up and shouldn’t be in the line. i get to the point where i ask for a manager cause i am literally doing what i was told to do. Manager looks at me says “she is my most experienced cashier” then shrugs his shoulders followed with “i’m sorry it took so long today” followed by another shoulder shrug and he walks away. needless to say customer service sucks

Read moreI’d give 0 or 1/2 star if possible. Been shopping here for about 1 year and the store is a disaster. Usually one shell shocked cashier, always the same one and this forces customers to use the self checkout which continuously locks up requiring an employee to stand around and restart the thing. Usually an elderly woman with a cane who has trouble moving around and is forced to jump from machine to machine. Why not use her as an additional cashier and not force her to move all over the place. Last visit I spent 10 minutes waiting for someone to restart the self checkout, no one ever showed up. Not sure who the store manager is and last time in no one was able to locate him/her. One would think that with their prices higher than the competition they would at least provide better service to customers. My last time in was so frustrating I just left the store and went to a competitor a bit further away but all checkouts were open there. Not sure if they have staffing issues or just trying to cut operating costs, either way it makes for a terrible shopping experience. I went there for convenience but...
Read moreThe store is nice and quiet, though the surroundings are quite littered and the entrance neglected and smelly. Most fresh items expire tomorrow, and if discounted they expire today. Cashiers lack proper training, seldom a hello or thank you, just blunt instructions to use the pad thingy. An overall bad experience, and it's sad because you have a lot of potential and resources.
Manager, clean up the entrances, train your people! Sit them down once in a while and explain personable customer service. I assume you are a little smarter than they are.
You guys missed a golden opportunity to attract and retain customers when Market Basket went on strike or whatever. Simply handing out Stop and Shop cards was not enough. Get a smart person to analyze what is going on with you guys, else stay...
