El Molcajete Moya — Restaurant in Virginia

I tend to go to moya’s down the street but they are currently closed & i know that this establishment is owned by the same owners so i figuered why not take a party of 15 people for a graduation dinner/celebration. Boy was i wrong. I regret going to this place, we ordered 11 chilled patron shots and a mango margerita, which took well over 25 mins to get, then another 25 mins to get our actually drinks ordered. Food took another 30 mins. And i have absolutely NO IDEA why in this day & age a restaurant cannot split checks. It is a party of 15, which we were told from the begginning we couldnt split checks, which is ridulous, moyas is owned by the same owner & they split checks without a problem. We divinded the total which was $670 & some change by 14 people (as 1 left early) and it came out to $47 & change ao we told the waitress just round everyones card to $48. Somehow they couldnt do their job and insisted we were $90 short....... we basically had to add up and swipe our own cards because the staff was completely confused and incapable of doing their jobs. I honestly feel they did not want to split checks up so they could get their $87 tip which honestly, they did not deserve. Service was slow. They dont understand basic math & customer service inefficient. Save yourself your time & money & DO NOT COME HERE. The moyas is now open so go their instead. The service is better & you dont have to add up...

Veronica the waiter was very unfriendly, pathetic, rude...only because i wanted to order to go, then my husband changed his mind and wanted to eat there... her colleagues told her it was her turn to attend our table (she told them she did not want to serve us) she did not think we clearly heard her, of course...still ended up taking our order pathetically and unwillingly... then needed some things at our table she seemed bothered at what i needed to ask her. When i saw that attitude i wanted to leave, but there was another server (Karla Abarca) who seemed to want to help by making sure we were served appropriately and in a friendly manner. She took care of us and at our request we changed servers and Karla took care of us in a very friendly manner and clearly made sure we were taken care of. At the end, Food was good and were taken care of appropriately! Giving NO stars to Veronica, but would give 5 stars to Karla. But bc of this incident will give an overall 1...

The food was great the service was great. When I first walked in they let me know that the internet was down and that I had to pay cash we had no problems with that but when it came towards the end of the meal they suggested that I zelle the payment to them . I was absolutely thrilled to zelle the payment to them to save my time from going to the ATM. I sent the money waiting for them to respond and then they acted as if we might have robbed them saying they did not receive the payment wanting pictures of my phone pictures of the payment proof that I sent the zelle to the number that they gave me. They said I'm sorry but can you show me proof the owner claims he never got the payment. It was very uncomfortable. They should have just let me go get the cash and pay them that way. They also tipped themselves and I would have tipped them a larger amount than they...
