I have had a terrible experience with the GameStop store on Queens Drive in Woodbury, MN. I had ordered Animal Crossing: New Horizons for pickup the morning of the game release (March 20th, 2020) as I had to work and was worried copies would be out by the time I was off work. To my surprise, my husband had gone out while I was working and purchased a copy for me, not knowing I had placed an order for pick up that morning. I called the store to inform I no longer wanted my pickup order and how to proceed about cancelling or being refunded. The guy I spoke with told me I could either come in to make an in person return that evening, or wait 7 days and I would be automatically refunded. Since I work in health care at a nursing home and I prefer to limit my interactions during this pandemic, I chose to wait out the 7 days. 7 days and longer passed, no refund. I filled out an online message such as this one in regards to the situation: no response aside from the initial "we will get back to you as soon as possible". I call the Queens store directly following, after noticing an email I missed saying my order was picked up (I never went to the store and no of nobody who would have). The same guy I had spoken with about my return/cancelling options picked up and argued with me that someone must have had my information and picked up my order. He described he recalled me calling and saying I no longer needed my order as my husband bought me a copy not knowing I had web ordered one. The guy described "a small blonde girl who looked like she should pass as a teenager" came to pick it up. He commented she must have had my identification or information in order to pick up my order as they have a "strict pick up policy". I have had no fraudulent activity on my card and have my ID in my possession. I believe who ever the stranger was who picked up my order was not properly identified at the store. I don't see the logic in a stranger somehow knowing I had a pick up order and having my information to obtain my pick up order. The store guy's response "you'll have to take it up with your credit card company", however I don't feel it was someone with my card number as no other issues have occurred. I would just really appreciate my refund, or even copy of the game so I could give it to a friend. I am upset about this whole situation and the lack of customer service support. I will not be ordering online or pick up from any Game Stop again after this experience. As I write this, I have been on hold with the GameStop customer support line for over an hour and a half. I have no other choice than to leave my terrible experience in this review. The 800 customer service line did speak with me after over an hour and 40 minutes of waiting, the lady I spoke with was understanding but could only assist by redirecting my complaint to the District Manager of the store who is to contact me...

6-18-18 around 1045am, I am only giving three stars for this so just ignore the first post which was four stars which is accurate, I was here at the store because I lost the receipt a few days after I pre-ordered battlefield five, and I was trying to see if I can get another receipt of it but Steve (yes the same guy from first post) Said he couldnāt print me another receipt because he said since I lost the receipt which I ended up finding later in my other pants, He could not print me another one because since I paid for that one, if someone were to get my receipt and bring it in on the day of Battlefield V release, they would end up getting that instead of me. Even though It was policy and āNOT HIS PROBLEMā On whether I lost a receipt or not, I still think that was a tiny bit harsh saying that it was not his problem if I lost the receipt or not, I would not call that bad service, Even though it wasnāt fair so I donāt know what to call it but anyways I just decided to cancel saying that I donāt want the game ( When in reality I do want the game but not from that store anymore) So I went off to Stillwater GameStop and was helped by a guy named Alex and I paid for that preorder there and he mentioned the beta version of that game if I downloaded it To play the beta early whenever it Releases before the actual game. When I did Pay for the pre-order at Woodbury game stop Steve never mentioned to me about the beta version. So from now on unless I have a reason to come back to Woodberry game stop, iām just going to Stillwater or any other GameStop from now on. Sorry Steve but not sorry.

If you guys do get a game at GameStop woodbury Queens drive and you see Steve there, just be prepared for the service he might give you whether itās bad or good. The what I think was the employee got very annoyed and said āyeah if we make it very quick Iām late for my breakā which is fine I understand that you need breaks at your job but Iām wondering what he wanted me to do in the mean time... wait for him? Wait for another employee?? Not sure.... he was also rude to the other employee. The first experience was much worse. I brought in a PS4 for a trade in. I had to wait for him to ātestā it for an inordinate amount of time. ( I mean a long time) He also made another customer wait while he did this and was very rude to her about it. There was another employee that offered to take over and test it for him ( which was just playing a game on it) but he said HE was the only one that could do this test.
