Very disappointing bizarre trip to Target yesterday. Dealing with fellow customers is one thing, but dealing with rude or disrespectful staff is another. First, many items were not stocked. Items that should be found in most stores like disposable utensils were not even stocked. Staff behaved rudely and strange. The first staff we ran into asked us if we would like a note pad and to be nice I said yes and she began following us. It appeared she had a wheel spinning game we could participate in but we hadn’t even started shopping yet. As we walked away she began telling herself that she told someone she “would be nice today” which I thought was strange. I really tried to give her an opportunity to explain what she wanted, but she made a joke about following us instead. We also tried to walk past a pushy phone carrier sells person and she was also rude when we told her we are not interested. To put a cherry on top of the entire ordeal, after spending over $500 on groceries before me and my husband left, our cashier began examining our cart to see if we stole anything. Honestly if she would have done that in the first place I wouldn’t not have purchased anything. It’s ironic, because I had gestured my husband to grab some items out of the cart that were small and we almost forgot to put on the rotating belt for the cashier. Instead of our honesty, being perceived accurately, for some reason, something about us made the cashier think we were stealing. I wanted to get out of there so bad. I forgot I even had a gift card to use. It appears that they may have a theft problem by how they have the Ulta section locked up, but being in that section there was not one employee there to help anyone. The only bright spot of that day was there was a helpful woman giving out coffee samples. She gave us a lot of free coffee, and she also helped us find some of the items we were having trouble finding. I’m not sure if it’s just this location with the problem, or if it’s all target locations. But I can say that this trip rubbed me the wrong way enough that I’m gonna probably be taking a break from target for a while. Until this trip, I didn’t realize how often I used target pick up to get some relief from profiling, but I just don’t feel comfortable giving my money to places that criminalize me. At this point, you really might as well go to Walmart, because they have the same, if not more stuff for cheaper prices, and you’re gonna be dealing with the same type of staff and...
Read moreMake sure the cashier gives you credit for your gift cards. This is a recurring problem. Cashiers appear to not be trained properly in this regard. I have had them take my gift cards, and then while looking at my receipt on the way out the store I realize that I did not receive any credit for them. This has happened on more than one occasion. Today, on black Friday I was not given the 20% Off coupon due me for my next purchase and had to go back into the store and ask for it. Really, I should not have to make sure that I have received credit for a gift card, nor should I have to make sure that I have received a coupon that is due me. Newsflash Target - Customers should not be the quality control department for your cashiers. Train them adequately.
Many of the cashiers don't know how to pack groceries at this Target. Canned items placed on top of bread. A bag of grapefruit on top of containers of raspberries. Frozen food packed with pharmacy items. If you don't watch closely and re-bag correctly you end up with damaged items upon returning home.
I also find that this Target is often out of items on my shopping list. Here's an example from a recent shopping trip: Out of Barilla pasta, blue cheese dressing, coke 0 and distilled water. The Tuesday morning before Thanksgiving they were already out of disposable turkey pans. give me a break! I had to travel to another local supermarket where they had plenty of them in stock. Second Newsflash Target - Your customers are busy people who don't have time to run around to other supermarkets to pick up what you could not adequately stock. A lot of reviewers complained about poor stock in Google reviews. Perhaps you should read your reviews, take them to heart, and up your act.
Saturday, 2/16/19: Targets out of stock situation continues to disappoint. My wife went there today at 1 PM to get 6 items for a recipe for Saturday night dinner. Two out of the 6 items were out of stock. She ended up going elsewhere for the two out of stock items. I asked her, "why even waste the time". Just go elsewhere next time. The location is convenient but if you have to go to a second supermarket to complete your shopping list, it just becomes a time waster. Lord knows, we all have better things to do...
Read moreWent to Minnesota to visit my sister for Labor Day weekend, visited this Target with sister to pick up some items she needed for her house. While we were there I picked up a few items as well. The first mishap that happened was once we arrived to checkout was there wasn't a divider on the counter, her items and my items were widely spaced but the cashier didn't ask if it was all together he just started ringing up the items and continued to ring every thing together. My sister and I both were looking in our purses for payment and noticed the cashier was combining our items together. She calls him on it and instead of him apologizing he continues until she just tells him, don't worry about I'm just ready to get out of here. The second mishap was, apart of my purchase were 6 placemats. I had them folded in half and instead of the cashier unfolding them to count how many I had, he was counting while folded which made it look like I had 12 and not 6. I had to tell this idiot to unfold them and count that there were only 6. After putting them in a bag, he even counted the placemats again. The third and final mishap was when we arrived back at her house, all of my items were missing except for the placemats because I told him to go ahead and ring those separately. I go to my sister's car and look for the bag and it's not there but the charges were on the receipt. Her husband immediately took me back to Target and I went to customer service to see if my bag was taken there and after checking it was not. The associate helping asked if I remembered which cashier it was and I told him yes. We proceeded to go to the cashier but another associate was approaching with a cart full of items that were for RESTOCK and the associate that was helping stopped to ask that associate if my items were in there and they were. That's right every last one of my items were about to be put back on the shelves for RESTOCK after being paid for. WARNING IF YOU VISIT TARGET , MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL OF YOUR ITEMS BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT KEEP THEM FOR YOU. IF THIS IS HAPPENING AT ALL TARGET STORES, THEIR NUMBERS ARE DEFINITELY BEING FALSIFIED IF THE CONSUMER DOESN'T RETURN FOR...
