BEWARE!!! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I ordered and rec'd a vanity, cubby and medicine cabinet totaling $3,653.26 from a Strasser dealer. One of the doors on the cubby was defective so the dealer ordered another door and said a representative from Strasser would come to my home to hang the new door. This would of worked for me because I tried re-hanging a kitchen cabinet door years ago and made a mess of it (I'm in my 60's and not very handy). Well, the door arrived but never a word from the Strasser rep. It's been well over 3 MONTHS so I called the dealer and said if we can't get the rep to come out can we just order a new cubby? He said "yes, but it will cost you another $450.00 but when the new one arrives we'll try to get you a refund." When I told him I can't afford another $450.00 he said "well just take it down, bring it back to me and I'll order you another one at no cost to you." Huh?? Ok, sounds good but now I have to pay my contractor to uninstall it then reinstall the new one when it arrives.
I thought this could all be resolved if I called Strasser Woodenworks directly and asked them to help with this issue. I really don't need a whole new cubby, I just want a Strasser rep to come and hang the new door. Well I just spoke to Cameron at Strasser. First, let me say I have never experienced such rude unprofessional behavior. I explained everything to her and she said there was absolutely nothing she could do to help. She told me to go back to the dealer. I asked her to call the dealer for me. She said "no." I said "but this is YOUR dealer, he is representing Strasser." Then sarcastically she told someone in the background, "this lady has a small defect in one of her cubby doors and she wants a whole new unit." I told her I didn't want a new unit just a STRASSER rep to come to my home to hang the new door. I paid good money for their products. Why should I live with a door with pock marks and runny stain. It looks terrible. SHE HUNG UP ON ME.
Next year I want to update the guest bathroom. Needless to say I will not be purchasing any more Strasser Wooodenworks products. I'm sure Cameron doesn't mind if Strasser misses out on another $3,000 to $4,000 sale from me, but think about other sales they might miss out on if others read this review and decide to take their...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. Ordered their Lapis Blue vanity and linen tower. When it arrived and I unboxed it there were quite a few issues. Dents and impressions in the wood (it's not supposed to be a distressed finish) and issues with the paint/lacquer (missed spots, scratches, marring). After going back and forth they offered to send new doors/drawers but there were issues on the frame as well so then they offered $150 discount (on a nearly $4000 purchase) which was laughable. I'm looking for something nice, not a scratch & dent floor sample. So they agreed to build a new one which would take another 3 weeks (and hold up my bathroom from being usable/finished). Sure enough 3 weeks later the new one comes and it has the same issues. It was mind boggling that after the problems with the first one there was no QC done before they boxed it up to ship it. It's now 3 days later (I emailed the customer service person I'd initially dealt with and the VP of Sales the day I received it with photos and an explanation of what happened) and I haven't heard from anyone. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
Update. It's now 2 months later, I've received no refund, no phone call, and no email from anyone at Strasser yet they picked up their vanity and linen tower within a few days of me...
Read moreI attempted to order a vanity with Strasser through a third party vendor since they don’t sell directly. I met with Peter at Strasser who flipped off his coworkers on the way to meet with me which I’m sure he didn’t think I saw. His demeanor was condescending and unpleasant but he drew up a custom order for me and gave me a list of vendors to order through. I did my part and sent the order to the vendor with confirmation, and consequently never heard anything back from either of them. I tried to call Strasser and inquire but never received a call back, and the third party vendor never heard back from them either and completely understood when I cancelled the order almost a month later after no communication. What an unfortunate waste of time.
The response is also unfortunate. I guess they are better off relying on their third party vendors for a good customer service experience. Their other one star reviews offer additional cautionary statements about their service so it’s obvious that this is a pattern of behavior and not a...
