Incident 8/19/23!!!I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE AT THE WALMART IN WOODLAND. I ORDERED MY DAUGHTERS SCHOOL CLOTHES ONLINE BUT WHEN THE CLOTHES ARRIVED THE SIZE FOR PANTS WAS TOO SMALL. I THEN THOUGHT THE FASTEST WAY TO GET THE ISSUE RESOLVED WAS TO GO INTO THE STORE AND EXCHANGE FOR CORRECT SIZE. I CAME IN WITH THE ITEMS AND THE PERSON AT THE DOOR DIDNT GIVE ME A YELLOW TICKET SO I LEFT THE ITEMS TIED IN MY BAG AND PROCEEDED TO GET THE ITEMS I WANTED TO EXCHANGE SO I COULD MEASURE THE DIFFERENCE IN SIZE OF THE TWO PANTS. I CHECKED OUT THE GROCERIES I WANTED AND THEN PROCEEDED TO GO TO CUSTOMER SERVICE TO GET NEW ITEMS AND SEND BACK INCORRECT SIZE. THE GUY BEHIND THE COUNTER ASKED ME WHAT I WANTED TO DO I SAID EXCHANGE ITEMS FOR MY DAUGHTER WRONG SIZE. HE THEN SHIFTED HIS WHOLE ATTITUDE AND WENT ON TO ASK ME HOW LONG AGO I CAME IN THE STORE. I COULD TELL HE WAS UNEASY OR SUSPECTED SOMETHING FALSE! I immediately asked for his manager!!!!! SHE CAME OUT WITH AN ATTITUDE IN HER TONE. He went back there and likely told her āWE STOLE THE ITEMSā. I tried to explain to her that what was going on . She proceeded to basically accuse me of stealing the items. She went back there the first time and āchecked camera and claimed initially I CAME IN WITH NOTHING. Then when my partner explained again and she saw I wasnāt frightened by her threats to call cops she said a smart comment and proceeded to go in the back. BUT BEFORE she did SHE SNATCHED MY ITEMS OFF THE COUNTER AND TOLD ME I NEVER CAME IN WITH NOTHING. She went to the back and came back & said ima give u two options. You can either tell the truth and tell me exactly how many items you came in with and Iāll give it back ORRRR u can leave with nothing. I SAID ALL OF THE ITEMS ARE MINE &&& YES WHOLE TIME SHE KNEW I HAD MY RECEIPT!!!!!!!!! FINALLY WHEN SHE DECIDED TO USE COMMON SENSE AND ADDRESS WHAT WAS SAID TO HER INITIALLY. THE EMPLOYEE LIED TO HER AND SAID I WAS ONLY TRYING TO RETURN FOR MONEY BT IT WAS AN EXCHANGE! SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE HER JOB. SHE EMBARRASSED ME AND MY PARTNER AND TRIED TO SAY WELL THATS WHAT THEY ALL SAY WHEN I TRIED TO EXPLAIN. SHE WAS RACIALLY PROFILING ME AND SO WAS THE HISPANIC EMPLOYEE! I HAD MY PROOF AND I WAS STILL HARASSED BY THE MANAGER! DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SHOP AT WALMART EVERYDAY DAMN NEAR!!!!!! GET BETTER SECURITY AND CAMERAS IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH STEALING. DONT TAKE IT OUT ON AN INNOCENT PERSON CAUSING ANXIETY ATTACKS!!! Imagine if the cops was called!! I could have been KILLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OVER A LIE !!!!! WALMART ON MAIN STREET IN...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you want to buy tires in Woodland, CA, PASS on Walmart and go directly to USA tires in Woodland and here is why, The tires are the same price and here's all the extras you get when buying tires there: Acknowledgment that you are there and that you will be helped, kind friendly customer service, and best of all, free rotation, balancing, and flat repairs for the life of the tires. My experience at Walmart: Would not recommend the tire center here. Came in during business hours and was told by Pao that we could not get tires installed on that day because there werent going to be enough people on his crew to do it even though it was before 5:00 pm and the tire center is open till 7:00 pm. At the time we were there, there were at least three people working in the tire department. He told me I would need to come back the next day. By now, my son and I were getting the distinct feeling that he really just didn't want to do it. When I told him I was from out of town and buying this tires for my son, I asked if I could pay for the tires for my son, and then he could come back the next day and get them installed. He told me if I paid for them we needed to take them with us and so the warranty would be void, even if they weren't used. Now I thought that he was the manager because he was talking about his crew, but next he said, that's what he heard from another associate and didn't know it for fact. He then told me I would have to come back the next day. I again told him I was from out of town and asked if I could I do it over the phone the next day to which he asked if I would be paying with cashš¤ At this point I knew I was talking with somebody who was not very well informed. I asked him to call a manager, which he did and mumbled we'll see if they even show up, and then he walked out the door. The manager never showed and we waited more than 5 minutes. I then asked another employee who worked the tire center counter, who had just returned from break, to repage the manager again. She had attitude but she did it and she also walked out leaving the counter unattended. After waiting another 10 minutes the manager never showed. We took our $460.00 sale and walked out the door and called USA tires and were treated with respect and were told that we could get tires the same day for the same price which we did. Walmart has terrible customer service terrible store policy. And even...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNo customer or employee should ever be mocked for having a disability ā yet it's happening right under your roof, and nothing has been done.
I normally enjoy shopping at this Walmart ā especially because of employees like Griffin in the cosmetics department, who is always kind, helpful, and attentive, and Linda near the front door, who greets everyone with such warmth and friendliness. They make a real difference and are the reason I continue to come back.
However, Iāve had repeated negative experiences with a woman who works there ā she has long gray hair and, unfortunately, sheās been consistently cruel. Every time Iāve interacted with her, she has been rude, dismissive, and even questioned my need for an electric scooter, telling me I ādidnāt need that.ā As someone with a legitimate disability, this is not only offensive but humiliating. No one should be made to feel judged or shamed for using the accessibility resources they need.
What makes it worse is that Iāve spoken to other employees about this, and theyāve told me that she has also mocked fellow co-workers with disabilities. Thatās absolutely unacceptable. She works as a cashier near the far end of the store by the bathrooms, where cigarettes and similar items are sold. Iāve even reported her behavior to the manager on duty, but sadly, nothing has changed. She continues to act disrespectfully toward me and others.
Itās incredibly disheartening that someone like this continues to represent the store, especially when so many of the other employees work hard to create a welcoming environment. I truly hope management takes this seriously. Griffin, Linda, and others deserve recognition ā and customers and employees with disabilities deserve respect.
5 stars for Griffin & Linda. ZERO stars for the...
