Spicy Pie — Restaurant in Woodlawn

This was the first time we tried this food. FYI: cooking time is long, give enough time to get the food. Customer Service was very bad, the young lady behind the counter was not helpful at all. We asked her couple questions from the menu, her answers were short and rude. We went there at 8:30pm on a Saturday and asked her if we can dine in she said we are closing at 9:30 and we start cleaning at 9 so you cannot dine in and there was no customers in the store and the place was already clean. I ordered chicken strips and fries, fries were salty and too much chat masala and tasted burnt. strips were very dry and again chat masala is over powering. We also ordered the wrap and that didn’t even taste right, not sure if it was too much ginger/garlic paste. Seems like the place is new so it was clean. This place is fairly new to the shopping center and has some unique fusions of food😊 it’s kinda like a Indian/Italian mix with some American treats ❤️ the lay out is cute and pretty clean inside. The staff is very nice and helpful. I had the wet Marsala wings ( they have a dry option as well) the wings are huge and fresh made to order ( so expect to wait a little while) they were spicy 🌶️ and had a good flavor just wasn’t the flavor I expected I thought they were gonna be like the tikka Marsala sauce you get at Indian restaurants but it was different but tasty. I will come back to try the pizza and maybe a different wing flavor. I would recommend them if you’re in the mood to try something different. Stopped in on a Saturday night - only one other group was dining in. You order food at the counter and there are a few tables if you choose to eat there (which we did).

The food is incredible!! Nothing is too overwhelmingly spicy - everything was just right! It took about 15 minutes for them to prepare our food after we ordered. Service was fantastic. The flavors work together perfectly in everything we tried was delicious!!

The loaded fries were a treat - a great portion for the price and absolutely delicious. The chicken burger was fantastic, especially with the house sauce. The chicken pita was full of flavor, piping hot and juicy.

I highly recommend stopping in if you want to try a unique spin on Indian food for a reasonable price. Spicy Pie has something very special here with their menu! We will definitely be back to...
