Luxury Dominican Barbershop — Local services in Woodlawn

Two days ago I walked into this place after finding it on Google Maps. It was about 7:10 pm. There was only one barber there, he was cutting someone's hair and there were two people waiting. This bozo didn't say hi, welcome, or any greeting at all. He simply looks at me and says, I'm closing after these two customers. I said, Dude the hours online and on your door say you close at eight o'clock?! He replied the same thing again. No sorry, no I apologise for the inconvenience sir, no nothing. WTH kind of attitude and service is THAT?? I told him what I thought and left. NEVER going in there again, they clearly don't know the first thing about customer service or manners and apparently they don't want paying customers either. Terrible. I’ll keep it simple:

1. When they cut your hair, it’s a 5 star cut. $25 haircut + tip gets you everything including the razor, hot water cloth and face message (depending on barber).

BUT everything else about this place sucks and the bad reviews are correct.

2. Barbers don’t want to cut, they sit and make you wait hours while they play video games, eat, and talk on phone.

3. Their rude as can be. Don’t welcome you, don’t speak to you, treat you like s**t because they know you need the cut.

4. They make you feel uncomfortable when you ask “how many people you got”.

5. They speak Spanish to each other and don’t even acknowledge you.

If your use to this kind of behavior and know how to demand the respect you need to function in this environment then it’s worth it.

If your timid, shy and scared to speak up for yourself...go...

Do not enter!!!! Real simple, do not greet! Have a clientele built up, so if your a walk in do speak up and be prepared to feel like your a nobody, because that's the reaction you will get from them. If your punctual, this place is for sure not for you, be prepared to wait even with an appointment. Listen to the reviews and find somewhere else. My co worker has been going there for sometime. He tolerates it but did warn me that this is the reason why they have so many bad reviews. And it smells like weed in their everytime you walk in, so keep the kids at home, very vulgar ignorant...
