Running For Kicks — Local services in Worth Township

I love supporting small businesses so I thought I would give this place a try. I'm glad I did, so now I can warn others about how unprofessional this establishment is. When I went to Running for kicks, it seemed like a great place. They found the "perfect" shoe for me. They even let me walk around outside to make sure it felt okay. After I chose the shoe I wanted, I noticed there was glue residue all over one of the shoes (removing this would remove the colored material on the shoe). So I simply asked if they could order the same shoes for me. The salesman gave me a hard time and he even said, "it's not like the shoe is going to fall apart." I explained that's this was something that would bother me. Then he proceeded to write it down in a book, and he said okay it should arrive in 5-7 days. I already paid for them so it was just a matter of picking them up. I went back a week later only to have these people give me the same pair of shoes I tried on in the first place. There was mud on the bottom of them from people waking/running outside with them. There was material missing from the shoe where they tried to pull the glue off. I was appalled. They held onto my money for a week, lied to my face and tried to make a fool of me. When I confronted Mel, who says he "runs the place" he told me I was disrespectful for accusing them of doing that, threw the shoes on the ground, and proceeded to throw my debit card onto the counter after refunding my money. (All while other customers were in the store) Very mature. DO NOT SEND YOUR FRIENDS OR FAMILY...

This running store is hands down the best!!! I recently purchased a pair of shoes from there and had the best experience. After a few weeks I felt as though they weren’t right for me. I went back in with the shoes just mostly for advice to see if I was the problem but before I could even finish my explanation, Mel instantly offered to exchange them. I am in awe of his kindness and generosity. He truly cares about his community and customers— and will go the extra mile for them😉

The entire store is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and most importantly KIND! The stores inventory is stocked with every type of running/walking shoe for every person. They take the time to listen to your wants, needs, aches, pains, and hand selected the perfect shoe...

As a physical therapist, I have referred patients to Running for Kicks for 20+ years. My teenage daughter has been experiencing foot pain recently, so of course I took her to Running for Kicks to be fitted for the proper footwear. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! Mel and Calista knew exactly what they were talking about, and found my daughter the perfect shoe. The service there is second to none. My daughter was in awe when I told her "this is how buying shoes used to be in the olden days..." haha!! We went in for one pair of shoes for my daughter, and walked out with a pair for her, my husband, and myself! They weren't pushy, they just have high quality stuff!
