Breadsmith of Palos Heights — Restaurant in Worth Township

I’ve wanted to find a local baker for so long and BreadSmith does not disappoint. I grabbed a french peasant loaf and after eating multiple pieces, this is the first time in ages where I’ve eaten bread and didn’t get bloated. I actually feel better after eating. And they slice the loaves!!

Edit: They closed an hour early on sunday, which was super inconvenient and contradicts their posted hours. I didn’t know this so I walked up and as I opened the door, a lady shouted “CLOSED!! Im a local and during my free time I like going to small businesses to get away from the glamer the casual big names. On a walk to the through Palos Heights on the way to the library I came across BreadSmith. I walked in was greeted with a huge smile and offered samples on the front counter. Since I was walking I wanted something small enough to eat on the go so I ordered a Chocolate Muffin. I go there once or twice a month and am NEVER disappointed. Both their dessert and regular breads are delicious. Last week I tried their pineapple orange cupcakes and they r delicious, unfrosted and the moistest I’ve ever eaten. They make them on tuesdays and other types throughout the week.
