*Due to conflicting reviews prior to arrival I confirmed item was on sale OKeeffe's Working Hands, 3.4 Oz, and that Wyoming store inventory had availability (all) were confirmed.
Upon entry was greeted and I asked for assistance, then observed the item I desired was hanging on rack. I continued to advise cashier item was on sale for $6.97.
I was quickly advised it wasn't listed in sales paper nor in computer. I explained it was on sale and just in case there were a confusion I had taken screenshot PLUS emailed myself the online in-store purchase info.
There was a pause I offered to present the details, I discovered I had left phone in car. Cashier instructed me I could go get it, and I did.
I bring item to review text linc + email I sent myself, prior to arrival. I was told okay...then item is rang up, now Im told the sale is for the larger jar and they only have the smaller one for $8.99+tax the SKU is different for the smaller one they have for me to purchase.
I ask may I clarify...(my) item of choice has more per ounce content plus is lower in price. I'm told yes!. I ask does another store have what I need, I was told yes! Plainfield store does. I ask for the number and cashier's register freezes.
A 2nd clerk comes and is updated then checks availability and to get the phone number, I'm told they have (1) left, I'm told to call (again) I then again request phone number a 2nd time.
Now... I'm told if it says (1) left it may be gone by the time I arrive at that point I said that is why I need help calling to confirm that they have it for me.
The line is growing, people are waiting and I say to next customer behind me in line, you may go before me I just need a phone number.
The 2nd cashier with a working register walks away from me, yells for next customer to come to her register and all customers rush over to her and I have to go to the end of line to wait, I'm beyond flabbergasted đł I look over to original cashier and say I'll just buy it Miss, she hands me my hold purchase Receipt and the gentleman who was next who obviously saw this situation unfold, said Miss you may go before me, I say God Bless you, I've had enough.
Would really like to know does OKeeffe's know how you represent their product.
Hopefully a manager will reach out to me soon. Please and thank you.
Kindest Regards,
Teresa L. BTW I'm sending this to...
Read moreVery disappointed. I went in to buy a generator on 2/19 afternoon, and I went to find an associate to help me decide which one was best. He straight up told me that he knew nothing about generators, what a great way to build up my confidence :( but insisted that I needed to buy fuel mixture for 2-cycle engines, when the one I was looking at was obviously a 4-cycle engine. After I asked if it came with oil in it or I need to buy some he went on to tell me that it takes 5w-30 oil. Not putting much thought into it, I just said ok, but later on, I looked at the box and it CLEARLY says that the generator takes 10w-30. He just made up a random number and told me that I needed to buy it, I felt like he was treating me like I was the one that knew nothing about the generator, when clearly I did more research than him. Side note: If your going to work retail, at least learn SOMETHING about the products you sell, otherwise youâre useless to the company and the customers, also treating customers like people, not credit cards, tends to make them happy, even if you just greet them with a smile and a âhow are you?â, thatâs a start. Then, when I was checking out at the register, I had a coupon that said 20% of ANY one item. But the manager very rudely stepped in front of the cashier and said âoh yeah, that coupon doesnât apply to predator itemsâ which was the only thing that I was buying. Nowhere on the coupon did it say that. The coupon clearly said âANYâ item. Then the manager started complaining to the cashier about how she couldnât find a tape gun very loudly and unprofessionally, while the cashier was ringing me up. I could not believe how the manager handled herself in front of the customers, let alone her workers... she is not a very good role model for the other workers, or a good manager in general. I feel like the only thing she is capable of managing, is disappointing people. Everyone that was working here, lacked customer service, enthusiasm, and all just had dull personalities. A smile goes a long way,...
Read moreI normally frequent the Holland store, however, last week I was in grand rapids and went to 28th st. store. GR store was much better. Staff were friendlier and way more helpful. I have been considering switching my business from harbor freight to Lowes or Menards and may still do so if I continue having difficulties with staff when trying to exchange broken tools or return unwanted or defective items. I recently had a Holland store employee inform me, despite being a premium member, that I could not return several items I had received for my birthday because I did not have the receipt even though they were brand new and still in original package. Holland store employees recreating the policy and manner of doing business that has made harbor freight as popular as it has become. This attitude issue will cause a loss in...
