Alexandra's on Second — Local services in Yakima

I really wanted to give this salon 5 stars, but I can’t. This salon is great and the staff are amazing. The reason I gave only 2 stars is because I didn’t get what I wanted, not even close that I could justify giving 4 stars, let alone 5. I was a new client so I didn’t know who to go to, so the receptionist looked at the picture I wanted and put with someone who was open during one of the time slots I needed. I was going for a big change and was very specific with what I was looking for. The stylist who cut my hair was sweet and very receptive to my wants, but did not seem as educated as she could to justify charging what they charge for a haircut. I have been in the industry for 26 years and not the pickiest of people, nor do I leave bad reviews very often, but to pay almost $100 with tip for a haircut that I could have gotten at super cuts for a quarter of the price didn’t set well with me. Again, nothing bad about the stylist, they just need to make sure that before they put I new person with someone they know that stylist is capable of doing the kind of cut the client is wanting. Now, I am going to have to look for yet another stylist to try and salvage the hair...

I can't say enough great things about Alexandra's on Second! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and taken care of. The salon has such a chic, relaxing atmosphere, and you can tell the team is dedicated to providing top-notch service.

My stylist was absolutely incredible! They took the time to really listen to what I wanted and gave me expert advice on what would work best for my hair type. The results were beyond my expectations—my hair has never looked better! The cut was perfect, and the color is gorgeous. Alex is a color genius!

I also love how the staff makes you feel pampered. Every detail, from the cozy waiting area to the friendly and professional service, was spot-on. The products they use are high quality, and I appreciated how they personalized the recommendations for my hair's health.

I first want to start out that my appointment was last minute and the gal on the phone not sure who it was was so nice and did her best to fit me in next day told me it was the last appointment I was so thankful. I arrived early to get a feel for the salon and it was beautiful in all ways, wonderful relaxing music, smelt fresh, super clean, super profession, the list goes on. I saw Angela keep in mind I have never met this women before and she made me feel so comfortable never a dull or awkward moment. We cut about three inches off and did a deep conditioning and she explained everything along the way and gave me lots of options of things we could do with my mess!
