The first time around, I had a great experience. This time, if there were zero stars, then I would give them less than that. I had a horrible experience, so much so that the way in which I was treated left me shaking, literally. I went through the self-serve areas to self-cashier, only because I did not see registers open. They were in the way of the self-register-check out area, and my eyesight is pretty bad. Someone was at all of them except for one, which had no visual signs stating that you couldn't take alcohol. And there was a station right there with a few people at it, that I thought I could get help from if needed, at least I thought. I rung myself up, and I left the bottle of $40 wine left. I pressed for assistance, and it took a few moments, as they were talking amongst themselves. One lady, who I heard someone call by 'Chris', came over, snatched the bottle right up, and said, "You can't check alcohol out right here." She was short, curt, and unfriendly. She made me feel terrible for buying a bottle of wine. I went to the checkout area and proceeded to check out. the lady who checked me out said that the woman named Chris had other issues. She said that she could have taken me and checked out my alcohol. I asked to speak to the manager, at which point, the woman named 'Chris' came over and asked if there was a problem as she glared at me with a look of pure hatred on her face. I was visually shaken and felt in danger in the moment. She indicated hat she is the manager. And I requested another. A gentleman comes over who said that he had only been there for about a month and I spoke briefly with him. The nest step is to notify the store manager and the district manager. I will never shop...
Read moreRaleys bakery has always been my go-to for birthday cakes. The time before my most recent order, I ordered a cake for my moms 60th birthday and when I went to pick it up they didn’t have it. The lady at the counter told me someone was supposed to call me, but after going through my call logs it was clear no one had. She gave me a free cake after this, which my mom and everyone one else enjoyed. I felt this issue was righted, however I have yet again run into another issue with Raleys and their bakery. I ordered a birthday cake for my boyfriend weeks in advance. I picked one from their glass case that I thought looked good and specified what I wanted written on it and how. I missed a call the day before I was supposed to pick it up (yesterday). I called back the same day. The lady who answered the phone sounded very annoyed with me upon answering the phone. She told me that whoever had taken my order hadn’t written down what kind of cake I wanted. I attempted to describe what it looked it, and she seemed even more annoyed. She told me what kinds of chocolate cakes they had available by tomorrow and I ended up going with one of those. When I went to pick up the cake, it was very plain, not like the ones in the glass cases, and they had yet to do the pop letters I had ordered (I asked for it to be ready at 12 and went to get it at around 4pm). I ended up just buying a random cake in the glass case instead… I really wish I would have just told them to forget about it and spent my 30 bucks elsewhere. I miss the old Raleys Bakery. Next time I’ll be going to Sams Club or maybe a...
Read moreI have been going to this store since it opened in the 1980s I believe. It was the largest supermarket in the area at the time, but Winco, FoodMaxx (Food 4 Less at the time), and Walmart Supercenter have surpassed it in size. I recall rumors that it may close down for lack of business but I do hope they continue business on this end of town. I came here just to buy a dozen roses, which were very nice and they had a nice selection, for a decent price. For $10.98 they had red, orange, pink and lavender in color and the last few times I have been here for roses they were very low or out of stock so I was glad they had plenty today, even though I was shopping late in the afternoon. Cashier was very friendly and greeted me promptly and with a 😃 smile. Even though I do not do the majority of my shopping here I still purchase their quality meats here. If you are around this part of town stop by and do a little shopping we do not need another retailer to go out of business.
April 2023: Just came here for a pack of chicken breast for dinner. One person ahead of myself and when it was my turn I greeted the cashier and I got no reaction or hello. He was just looking forward with no interaction with me at all. There was a younger female bagger that smiled and greeted me and said good bye when leaving. I just don't understand what is with the younger generation nowadays since...
