Come, dear reader, and allow me to regale you with the story of my first visit to Firearms Unknown. Sit thyself and prepare for a story of intrigue, mystery, love, and guns:
When in the course on one's own history it comes time to invest in self protection, we must ask ourselves in whom we will place trust to lead us to a successful purchase. Look no further, friends, than Firearms Unknown. Within this magically patriotic establishment exists a guide. However, he is no ordinary soul. This Sherpa of the Pew Pews commandingly stands well over 6 feet tall with his hair styled in the manner of the Nordic warriors of old and tattoos to rival the largest of those performing a most intimidating Haka. Yet his demeanor is that of a wise father interested only in the success of his children. His name? Jason the Barbarian. Or, as he prefers to be called: Jason.
Dear readers, you needn't look further than this titan of hand cannons. His knowledge rivals that of our finest firearm scholars and his thunderous laugh is as infectious as a certain recent virus of "mysterious" origin.
Truly, friends, I have not the words to convince you to spendeth your coin at Firearms Unknown. However, I beseech thee to try. What dost thou have to lose? You shall leave this fine establishment richer in knowledge and heavier in ammo. YOU SHALL NOT BE...
Read moreShop needs to get it together! I called about selling a VERY popular firearm that would take minutes to appraise, Daniel Defense DDM4 V7. I had to drive 40 miles to Yuma to do so and called and they said YES! bring it in. When I arrive met with "we're not buying" I say I called and was told yes you are. They reluctantly go get a guy who takes one glance at the firearm and says "we can't afford that". After saying "yes drive 40 miles we are interested!" Thanks! But I like to support local business and the next week I'm in town and need some .357. There's a guy at the register in front of the ammo on the wall. I stand there for ~3 minutes as this guy does not take his eyes off his phone! 100% ignore. I was amazed how this guy was on the clock and 100% too zoned out to help a customer. Sadly for these guys there are 2 more BETTER gun shops within walking distance.... C'mon man! Get it together and quit wasting customers time with amateur nonsense! I may try you once more but please get the easy stuff right before I spend $$$$ on a firearm from you! As of now I have...
Read moreSprague's was $40 cheaper, two minutes away, and they have a 30 day money back return policy.
FU is store credit only for returns, even on extremely common in-stock items.
Bought four P Mags off the shelf from FU. Immediately went to Sprague's and bought 4 of the exact same mags for $40 cheaper (normal price at Sprague's, not sale price). Returned to FU to return their mags (unopened packages, with receipt). Guy at the counter said it's store credit only but said I could come back and try to get money back from the manager. I went back and the manager said the same thing. He told me there are signs posted that's it's store credit only. Receipt does not state their return policy, sales rep does not state return policy.
My fault for not asking about it, I assumed that a common, unopened, in stock item would be returnable with receipt.
Save yourself time, money, and headache by giving your business to Sprague's. Sprague's accepted my return and gave me full money back...
