On Jan 07, 2024 according to a copy of my invoice for an oil change provided by Take 5 ASM I came in for an oil change on that date.
I requested a high mileage oil change due to the high mileage on the car and requested to have my oil change for a 5000 mile interval due to the amount of driving I do for work to different cities.
The representative proceeded to take my request and I waited couple of minutes until he came back to my window. When he came back he said it was over $100 dollars. I told him oh no, that is far more than what I had budgeted as I thought the price would have been in line with Walmart's high mileage product which was under $100.
I told him I'm going to have to decline and that I'm going to just go to Walmart. He said, ok. He turned around, and looked at the rest of his team members. There was chatter between them and he came back and said um sir there an issue; my guy already drained the oil. Let me see if I can work out a deal; what were you looking to spend?
I told him around $70 and he said ok I can do that.
I want to make it clear that the representatives did not point out any particular policies, or make me aware of anything particular about warranties etc.
Once he said he can do it for $70 I handed him my credit card upon his request and that was pretty much the end of our conversation.
Now since the day I brought the vehicle in I've been on the road visiting different cities. On February 17th after getting back to town from attending a funeral we discovered a leak after the vehicle had been sitting a few days.
I reported the car had a leak to one of the assistant managers and I was informed due to the company policy that I was supposed to report the matter prior to exceeding the 5000 miles by over 400 miles.
I was told I would have to take it up with corporate who would be better able to address my matter.
My jaw had dropped because I was hearing this for the first time from the assistant manager. None of his employee's gave my proper disclosures and explained this to me, nor presented any written or displayed policy prior to giving the employee my credit card to start the oil change; nor did he bring it to my attention once I was leaving the shop.
At this time I like to make a request for a resolution to address the leak caused by your...
Read moreI have been a professional automotive technician for over 45 years. Since this oil change facility is focused on providing a full service oil and filter change coupled with other items which can be categorized as minor maintenance, they're very efficient.
My family owned and operated a Full Service company in the Northeast for years however, we did major repairs and of course, oil changes.
Today, I had to return to this service facility and address some areas that were overlooked. I called the Manager, David and he said, " bring your vehicle to my facility so I can see it." Upon my arrival, his attitude was that of a concerned Manager and asked what can I do to to help you. My vehicle is a 1998 Chevy Suburban 4x4 with 277,000 miles on it and has been burned by the Arizona heat but, runs amazing. We both worked together to rectify the areas that needed attention and David spent an hour and a half in the heat personally, so I would receive the best possible service.
I can honestly say, I've never experienced a better run facility under conditions that demand safety, service, and satisfaction. All with men that genuinely care about the mission statement of the company. No facility is perfect and mistakes happen however, this Manager, David went above and beyond and helped me, a disabled Veteran, who acknowledged my service to the country. His attention to detail, a willingness to earn my trust and lead by example is seldom seen in these turbulent times.
After nearly 14 trips under my vehicle and pictures taken underneath my truck to show me problem areas, he finished an exhausting service without stopping for water. It was, atleast 100 degrees under a hot truck!!
This post should be forwarded to the company's owner with a message to promote and utilize this facility as an example for all to emulate.
He treated my aged vehicle like a,new one!
Job well done David and a noteworthy performance by a Manager and his staff.
Thank you! First...
Read moreI pulled out of your lot being very pleased with my service. The technicians were very nice and one convinced me that I had to do a radiator flush because I was gonna be able to overheat. My son is a mechanic in Tempe and I tried to contact him, he only works specializes a mini Coopers, which is my car and he did not answer the phone so I was concerned as he kept repeating you’re gonna overheat Symptoms. You’re in the danger zone I understand that it’s sales. He also put yellow radiator fluid which mine was blue, which yellow is the cheapest if you would’ve asked me, I would’ve asked him to put something nicer or more quality anyway after speaking to my son I was extremely upset. Wanted to go back and let him know that there is no way I needed a radiator fluid flush that the car can run literally water alone as my son that’s been a mechanic for 25 years explained Because of the type of engine it has that is way above my pay grade as far as explaining it something to do with engine parts anyway I was very pleased with their performance, but I’m very disappointed that he highly pressured me to get the radiator fluid flush being a woman that is disabled and only has one car to rely On I have four sons. I asked them to go in one to change the oil because I feel like women get pressured or taken advantage of to begin with. That’s why my oldest son that’s 42 became a mechanic tired of watching his mom get screwed anyway I thank you for your questionnaire. I look forward to going again again I love take five but today I’m sorry I can only give one star because I was sorry. Very upset...
