Saturday was my first time ever going to this trampoline park. Sadly, I give this place 3 stars because it surprised me the quality of the whole place and their process with jumping. I have visited at least 4 other jumping parks over the years and had a far better experience. Then talking with locals who had been here when Get Air opened for the first time, I find out the quality and process was much better- so it has only declined in the past year or two. How sad. First off, a friend told me “if you go in there you better have a nose plug because it smells like feet.” When I told my fiance, whom has gone before was like, “what? No way…”. Fast forward to Saturday and once we both entered Get Air with the children, the bad odor hits you like a wave of bad socks- literally as soon as you enter the facility. We spent two hours there for a birthday party- after a while, like most odors, you start to notice it less but only because you are trying to block it out. This makes me question how clean the facility is.
Next, there were only maybe 3 staff, from what I could tell. They were working the front desk and gathering drinks for another party. I didn’t see any staff monitoring the trampolines, and making sure kids were where they were supposed to be. For example, others I attended had areas for smaller kids so big kids couldn’t accidentally hurt the smaller ones. Other parks I attended had color-coded bracelets to track the length of time you purchased. Apparently these were features when it first opened but no longer available. This obviously means I could prob even squeeze out more bouncing time for my kiddos for free, but also means others are prob doing the same- and hence the place gets crowded. No one is really monitoring that- but instead is like an honor system.
Another surprise was their waiver process. Apparently once you sign a waiver for your child to participate you don’t have to do another one, even if it’s years later. This also means anyone can bring your child to jump without a waiver being updated. I would think a business would want more liability than that - guess it won’t change until a person gets injured and sues. I had to sign a new waiver every time I took my child. It was literally a 30 second process.
Okay so other than that stuff, the trampolines work and colors are still vibrant. The bathrooms were clean. The party area in the back looked big. Would I go again? Maybe if my kids wanted. Mainly bc it’s the only...
Read moreTook my grandson to Get Air Trampoline Park, and boy, let me tell ya, it was somethin’ else. My grandson’s a little on the hefty side, so I figured it’d be a good workout for him. By the time we left, I swear that boy lost 40 pounds bouncin’ around like a squirrel on caffeine. Best exercise he’s had in years, and he loved every minute of it!
Now, lemme warn ya: the place was packed with little kids runnin’ wild. As an old buck, I had to stay sharp to keep from trippin’ over ’em. But even I couldn’t resist gettin’ in on the fun. They had a dodgeball game goin’, and I spotted this older kid goin’ way too hard on my grandson. Well, that didn’t sit right with me. I grabbed a ball, squared up, and let it fly. That sucker hit him square in the face, and I yelled, “That’s what ya get for messin’ with my grandson! This is America!” Folks started cheerin’, and I felt like a dang hero.
If you’re lookin’ for a place to wear the kids out (or yourself), this is it. Just bring a towel, some water, and maybe a sense of humor, ’cause it’s a wild time. Highly recommend for family fun and a good ol’ workout. As for my grandson, he’s ready to go back for round two—and so am...
Read moreWhat a neat addition to little ole' Yuma. Parents are always looking for a fun activity to do with their kids, and THIS IS IT! A few things to know... You can save time and earn reward points at the same time by downloading their mobile app prior to your visit (iPhone & android) and enter referral code HeatherH7606 -- this will earn you 1 point for every dollar spent, and after 100 points you can redeem a $10 credit! Note that you MUST purchase their grip socks for $3, but luckily they are re-usable/quality socks. Before every jump you must fill out a waiver form for each child; this can be done on the mobile app to avoid waiting in line. Lastly, if you have little ones (under 46") there is a kiddie court that they can enjoy. They don't allow children over 46" to go in the kiddie court and vice versa. This will keep older kids from trampling the littles. Lastly, they offer lockers for rent so you can join your kids-- so go out there, have fun, and let your...
