Birrieria El Gordo — Restaurant in Yuma

I normally do not write reviews, much less negative reviews, but after going through many bad experiences, I think I need to write one. I would like first to talk about how most of their items are normally out, you can even check their website. Today I went in and order 4 items, 3 tacos and one consome. I noticed that the people who ordered after me received their order and I didn't pay any mind but after waiting for a while I finally got my order. I noticed that the consome was missing and when I called out to the gentleman that took my order over three times, I noticed he didn't turn back. When i waited in the front desk, someone finally came out but I decided to just leave because I was done. I've noticed their customer service has been declining lately and it really adds to the bad experience. I honestly don't want to go back again and will just start going to Red Taco since their customer service is always great and their food...

We decided too try the place out for lunch and walked right up to the counter. Nobody was manning the front counter, waited awhile. Grabbed a menu at the counter but it was for some sushi. The menu on the wall is off to the side which makes it difficult to read while trying to place your order. We thought we were having some birria however apparently they serve sushi (I think). Finally received the food and I was expecting better. Fell short and doesn't compare to the birria I have tasted with more flavor. Had to add some salsa, salt, for flavor. No flavor at all. To top things off now me and my wife have stomach aches...

Was standing at front register for about 3-4min before employee came out from the back to take order. Food came out in timely manner. Seating area was clean. Bathroom smelled like they were using Clorox as an air freshener yet appeared short of a crime scene. Had to let employee know that they had no hand soap in the men's restroom. Restaurant offered rough paper towel in place of toilet paper and bathroom floor was sticky. Food was mediocre. Ordered tacos (Tacos Tues $2). Asada and el pastor meat was 5/10. The birria had good flavor but they were tight with the meat. Was hoping for...
