The owners are watching conserge Paula told us the morning my 7 yr old intended to take home 6 tea bags of different flavors from the breakfast table. "The owners are watching the guests every move through CCTV and they don't accept this behaviour". Paula is also ready to meet your every need with the postnet machine in hand, are you tired and thisty of climbing 3 flights of stairs to your room in a 104 F weather? No problem, Paula will charge you about 1USD for a 17OZ water bottle or suggest you try tab water. So you better hit the Economico Supermarkets a few blocks down you have an empty mini fridge in your room. Also, make sure you don't drink too much water in the breakfast table, because they will call you off on that too. Complimentary breakfast consists on pastry and salted bread and coffee. A bit of yogurt and milk. No fruit, no eggs, no protein in any shape or form. And remember not too take too much because you are being watched. Swimming pool water is warm, like taking a splash of your own, and every other guest's sweat. Not very nice with 104F weather. Don't dare to complain about this to Paula, who will be very disrespectful of her elders and guests shouting she has to charge extra for everything no matter the situation. She might as well don't have teeth, I've never seen her smile, she's ready to scold you if she believes you've been in the lobby for too long (10 MINUTES)or visited other guest's room even if you are related to them and came in a party. She doesn't find this acceptable and it's ready to challenge all your explanations in a very opinionated and loud voice. She's certainly got an attitude of a jail guard, she'll make a perfect fit. On the other hand, very cool creepy old fashined funeral car...

Read moreWe had low expectations of this place after reading these reviews. The place is smart, though not the most modern property we've stayed in. Everything was clean. The air conditioning was silent and worked well. The room was big enough and quiet... We had noisy people in next to us but we couldnt hear through the walls.||The pool was nice but it wont be long until this needs renovation. The breakfast was fine - nothing special but there was plenty of it. ||The staff - well, the front desk need to be more attentive, they are unfriendly and once you are checked in, they dont engage with you. The housekeeping ladies are lovely - we dont speak Spanish but we managed to have several chats with them in broken Spanish - especially as they take you to your room, rather than reception and they were always super friendly. ||It was a bit pricy we thought. But the location is great if you are coming...
