Paul — Local services in Tashkent

Had lunch here today. Interior looked good and smelled like fresh bread. I thought this is going to be a bit.....wrong. We were not welcomed and had to find a table ourselves. The table where we wanted to sit was not clean. Ten people realized that we wanted to sit here, the table was cleared in no time. After about 25 minutes the waiter came with the menu. No map in english...just a qr code. After 20 minutes of waiting our order was taken by the manager. The food was brought fairly quickly. My wife's ham cheese sandwich was very dry and my scrambled egg was very chewy. On a positive note, the cappuccino and latte were very tasty. Negative was that our orange juice was brought too late. For a chain like this you would expect that they have at least one card available in English.....or am I wrong? And as a tip I would give the chefs: check YouTube and see how Gordon Ramsey makes a perfect...

Paul’s is a really nice restaurant, with delicious sandwiches. Although they’re a bit expensive, we strongly recommend food and the bread!

We were quite disappointed by the front of house manager and how rude she was. We visited of the restaurant at a very quiet time of day and had a very friendly and helpful waiter. We had other appointments to get to and once finished, got up to pay at the counter as we couldn’t see your server at that moment.

She impolitely gestured and spoke Russian and indicated that we should pay before we leave. She could hope she didn’t ask what are intentions were she responded based on an assumption that was incorrect She assumed we were doing an eat and run.

Her attitude was off putting discouraged us from purchasing more pastries and bread that we intended...

We had a special Sunday day, and decided to have a family breakfast here, at Paul. We had different stuff that we put in the middle of the table so everyone could try. We liked each meal except for the omelet sandwich with cheese and turkey. We had very good time. There were many people, that surprised me, but the service of the waiters was excellent. We were total 4 adults and 2 children. Total we paid 1.258.000 soum that is 100usd, expensive but you should come once in a while and enjoy your family breakfast time. P. S. Ao you have an idea, the small maccaroni cookie in the last photo is 25k soum for a single...
