Nicely located in the center of the city. The food was excellent, with a big variety of both international and local dishes. The BBQ was amazing! The meat was succulent and tasty! I give it one star less due to a less than optimal service! The reception girl at the door didn't even smile or engage in the usual welcoming niceties! Just asked whether we smoke or not and directed us to 2 different seating areas. The food was delivered fast and with good care, but as with most of the personnel, no friendly communications, just ok service within the acceptable norms. The prices, especially for the sophisticated salads, are the highest I have experienced in the whole of Uzbekistan! So be prepared to pay more than the average Uzbek prices you are used to. But as I mentioned above, the food was great, and I highly recommend it for somebody who wants to experience local cuisine and still enjoys some international and European dishes in a...
Read morePlov Lounge offers an exceptional dining experience, with service that rivals some of the best restaurants. The atmosphere is inviting and well-suited for a more mature crowd, particularly those aged 35 to 60. The menu is impressively diverse, ranging from traditional local dishes, including their renowned plov, to refined European cuisine and an extensive selection of drinks.
The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, which is evident in every dish. However, I found the seafood options to be quite pricey. During my visit, we sampled several types of steaks and an assortment of samsa, all of which were delightful. A standout for me was the homemade cranberry drink, thoughtfully recommended by our waiter, which paired wonderfully with our meal.
Adding to the ambiance, a DJ plays on weekends, enhancing the overall experience. Plov Lounge is a fantastic choice for those looking for a high-quality dining experience...
Read moreI live nearby and I have never been here since it’s renovation. Although it’s a very popular restaurant, and whenever I walk along there many people inside. This time we decided to have some beer and somehow we chose this place, very convenient for me, in 5min walk from home )) We were 5, 3 were having beer others didn’t drink alcohol. We ordered 2 salads and shashleek/kebabs for 4 of us, as the 5th came later and wasn’t hungry. At the end we ordered some cake for desert and were off. The total bill was 1.7mln soum or 150usd. Quite expensive taking into account the few meals we had and number of beer we drank. The beer was local Zatecky Gus this is good, salads and meat were fine too. The waiters are efficient but still lack to have a 5* level. If anyone asks me for a nice restaurant with local cuisine and alcohol, this will be the place I...
